"Oh, I don't know," Moonstruck responded airily. "The same reason most ponies don't, I suppose." Ending on that vague note, and merely smiling quite as vaguely in response to Splinter's compliment, she returned to her latest work, turning the page and beginning a new drawing.

''What are you drawing now?'' Splinter asked as he looked down from the book again and noticing the new drawing. ''And if I'm bugging you at all, just remind me. I wouldn't mind moving somewhere else.'' Splinter said. ''Well, maybe I would.'' Splinter said while shrugging.

The comment from Slide to Magpie was peculiar, and she wrinkled her nose, hiding her reactions. "Well, I better go and eat something, I'm a bit hungry." She silently moved away and filled a cup with punch, sipping it, visibly disappointed. She finished her cup and refilled it, drinking slowly this time. Magpie had left Slide and herself just half a minute before her, but for now she was done talking and stayed where she was.

Rockshire definitely did not expect that hug. Or that he was hugging a bit too tight.

*Whats he doing? I thought... Aren't I fine though? I think I am... Wait... He's still thinking about her... Talking about...*

"Thanks...", was all she could say as she hugged him back, trying to breath again.

He let her go suddenly.

"S-sorry. I should've at least warned you that I was going to hug you."

He blushed, obviously at least a little embarrassed.

"So, um... Anyone else here I might know? Or is it all just a few friends of yours? And, um... Anyone here I might like?"

He put his hooves to his mouth, blushing wildly now.

He let her go suddenly.

"S-sorry. I should've at least warned you that I was going to hug you."

He blushed, obviously at least a little embarrassed.

"So, um... Anyone else here I might know? Or is it all just a few friends of yours? And, um... Anyone here I might like?"

He put his hooves to his mouth, blushing wildly now.

 

Rockshire blushed alongside him, but still produced a bit of a laugh. "Uh... Well, er... Uh... You might like Moonstruck. She's pretty awesome to be around with. Or maybe Star, if she isn't so timid all the time...", she said, trying her best not to mess up the rest of the sentence.

Star chuckled and started walking back towards the rest of the party. "I like playing pretty much anything. I really like the band two steps from tartarus, I really like to play their music. I mean...its usually all an orchestra but I still manage to play some songs on the violin." She said

"Huh, so like Octavia?" He asked trying to get a grasp of what she was talking about. "Personly i tend to listen to stuff Vinyl does." He added following Star to where everyone else was at, scanning the cave for the white pony he wanted to talk to. *where are you?* he thought to himself in frustration.

"Huh, so like Octavia?" He asked trying to get a grasp of what she was talking about. "Personly i tend to listen to stuff Vinyl does." He added following Star to where everyone else was at, scanning the cave for the white pony he wanted to talk to. *where are you?* he thought to himself in frustration.

"Kinda...I play really modern stuff...kinda like a modern take on classical music. But I like all kind's of music. And I do listen to some of Vinyl Scratches songs." Star said, trotting over to the snack table and picking up her violin. "I'll probably play out on the beach where I wont bother anypony. Come find me when you have talked to Snow, Ok ?" She said, pecking him on the cheek.

"Wow. Look at myself. I just hope Rockshire can help. She kinda knows me, so... Except we didn't talk much in college. I was present when everyone came to see me about that intervention against- no, that... I can't remember that. That was just after I got Obsidian... Eesh. Never mind."

He blushed at himself.

 

"Well... You were just talking to Moonstruck a second ago.", Rockshire said, with a hint of a giggle. "And Star is a light blue pegasus. She has a bunch of stripes on her, since her family is connected to zebras."

 

I wonder why he's wanting to talk with me so much.. Even in college, this is the most that he's ever taken notice at me... Even during that intervention with-- No, I don't want to cross that bridge again... That wasn't a fun time with Obsidian...

"Oh. Yeah... Moonstruck seems a bit... Is spacy even the right word? And, um... I thought I saw Star... If I did, I kinda wanna talk to her a bit."

He put his head down, his cheeks still red.

"I don't know! I'm just a little... Lonely. I haven't met too many ponies who are actually willing to talk too much lately, and I guess I've built up a shell around me again."

 

"Well, I would say... Open-minded. But, she's really nice. Go and talk to her. You have to break out of that shell again, Nightfall. You were the exact same way in college... Until... Well, yeah. Point is, sometimes, you have to break out of your comfort zone.", Rockshire said, chuckling, but her expression was of a sad one. "It's funny... I'm giving advice, yet, I'm the one who feels like the anti-social here... What a host I am, huh?"

Slide watched Scarlett fill her punch again. "Careful, if you drink too much, you'll get a bit tipsy. Fun for me, not so much for you, whennyou come to and find out you did really stupid things." He said, knowing all too well that feeling. He didn't want to see anypony so that.

"I doubt I'll get too drunk, but I'l fill my other cups halfway with water to try to keep the alcohol out." She took another quick gulp from her cup, trying her best to forget that he had referred to her as having a screw loose. She decided to bring up a topic, but came up empty, dragging on the silence.

"Well, I would say... Open-minded. But, she's really nice. Go and talk to her. You have to break out of that shell again, Nightfall. You were the exact same way in college... Until... Well, yeah. He sighed.

He smiled at her, moving off towards the personal hot springs.

"Now," he muttered. "I thought I saw Star going this way. The only problem? I thought she was with someone else. That could make things- wow. This looks cool."

He thought he saw Star out of the corner of his eye, but found a spring and got in.

They inhabit the old mines west of Amperon. You'd have to ask Lyra about them. I don't know much about them myself." Again, she spoke as if there were such things as dwarves or such places as Amperon. "But I'm not going to tell you why they're important. No, I don't think I will." She blinked up at him slowly. "That would ruin the story."

Light smiled, "Sounds good." He said then went off to find Snow. After a while he finally spoted the white mare wondering around the edge of the cave and he approached her. "Hey, ive been looking for you."

Snow didnt look at him but continued to wonder. "Oh really? Where your marefriend, Star was it?"

 

"Hey, dont be mean to her. I know you're mad at me because of her. Look, im trying to be looser on you. Go find someone nice, have fun."

 

Snow relaxed her expression some, "You mean it?"

 

Light gave snow a small smile and a nod. Snow gave him a hug then ran off to where everyone else was.

Star smiled at Light as he trotted off to look for snow. She turned around and happily trotted to the mouth of the cave. The ocean was flat calm and the moon was beautifully reflected off the water. Star smiled, pulled out her violin and began to play a soft slow beautiful song.

 

(OOC: Perfect time to walk up to Star.)

After Rockshire had watched Nightfall leave, she went and got herself another glass of punch, looking at everyone else.

 

*They're already pairing up? I never expected that... I didn't even expect for ponies to pair up at all... I wonder who would pair up with me...*

Slide could see that Scarlett was starting to get a bit....crazier than usually. He also wanted to successfully socialize with other ponies. He saw a white mare (Snow) walk away from a colt, currently not talking to anypony. Slide seized the chance and ran over to the mare. "Hello," Slide said. "I wanted to talk to other ponies, so try not to be to creeped out I, a random colt, walked up. I was talking to this one nice colt, be he left,.and the mare I was talking to earlier is getting a bit...tipsy." He then realized he was rambling a lor. "Sorry, I rambled. Anyways, I'm Slide Grease. What's your name?"

Snow jumped at the random pony approching her. She was heading over to say hi to Rockshire, maybe get to know her more but now she had to deal with this one. "Uhh, im Snow." She had one ear up and the other down showing her confusion on what to say. *Ok, lets make this quick, and painless* she told herself thinking of a way to get to Rockshire.

He got out, wanting to know a bit about the blue mare, and then noticed her at the edge of the cave. He started towards her, then stopped, hearing music and seeing her move a little.

"She's... making the music?"

She landed on the cloud, then bought her violin up to her chin and began to play.

Nightfall saw her fly up, and went to the mouth of the cave. With the way the night beach air was, he heard the song. It was silent, but it sounded so good. After what sounded like she was done, he moved inside a little, grabbing a drink and sitting down, the music going through his head. He watched the mouth of the cave to see if she would come back in.
