I love Applejack! I'd say they're all special and equal, but err... Dashie has to top the awesomeness. AJ is my second fave pony. And you wanna know the reason why she's "so popular"? Applejack dosen't really have that many haters while Rarity has quite a few of them but there are a lot of people who think that Applejack is a boring character which is a real shame. Though with her strong showing in season 3 her reputation as being the "boring one" is starting to fade and more people are starting to see how awesome she really is as a character.

Well, as Earthbending said, it's because of the third season. While some Bronies do have some complaints about this season being rather choppy in places, one thing I can find some agreement on is that Applejack definitely lucked out this season and got some good episodes and some great screentime. Plus, Raise this Barn is awesome, even among those who joke about Racist Barn and such; I think that's definitely aiding in the popularity department.

I think the third season really upped her stardom to. She had quite a few spotlights. I mean, I was like, WHAT? Two AJ episodes in a row!? (Spike at your service and Apple family reunion, I think....) lucky filly! She also sang that awesome song. I mean, she's a dayum good singer. It was so awesome. I don't know how people can forget about AJ, tbh. She's pretty, adorable, strong, reliable, and Dashie admits, also kinda awesome.

 

I've just realised.... All this time we've put AJ in last place of favourite/popular ponies... When really, season three has made her a star! She's had so much development in s3! We had her in baby form, she was reduced to tears, she... I don't know what she did in Soike at your Service but it was cool, she...

I've met plenty of people who like Applejack. Even I like her, I find it hard to dislike Applejack. I don't think Applejack was ever hated, unlike Rainbow Dash and Rarity (they're my two favorites ).

I do not think that the show could have ever become what it is today if Applejack were not in it; the same applies to the other Mane Six, because they are all vital parts in different ways.

I always liked Apple Jack. She's my 3rd or 4th favorite character in the show! I use to think Rarity was too much of a drama queen but I grew to like her too.

I honestly thought AJ was a well loved character. Along with Fluttershy and maybe Twilight, she's one of the few characters(both among the mane 6 and overall). No. 6 among many fans mane 6 ranks=/= unpopular, and I've seen get little hate at all. She's not underrated, not at all. If she does have have haters, then they are certainly not as harsh as haters or Rainbow Dash or Rarity

 

I love AJ, she's no. 4 on my mane 6 ranks and no.5/6 overall, but I don't think she's the most underrated character, that title belongs to Rarity

Holy crap, a song with Applejack and Apple Bloom singing together would be beyond epic! You know, other than how they sung together in Raise this Barn... but that was only for one part of the song, I suppose.

Totally! Maybe if AJ starts maybe about the old days and then Apple Bloom sings about the present and then they start singing together, I am guessing Aj would do the lower version and Apple Bloom would do the higher! :3

And yes, i started to like AJ more after this season aswell. She had bigger roes and she was more funny.
