How do you draw ponies?

Here's a couple of questions.

 

1. Which body part do you start with?

2. How do you draw the eyes?

3. How do you draw the hooves?

4. How do you draw the mane/tail?

5. How do you color?

6. If you include a background, how do you usually draw it?

7. What's your art style?

My answers:

 

1. I start with the head, mostly. It's the easiest body part for me to draw.

2. I draw the eyes not like the original MLP style, but it's just plain. That's all.

3. The corners of the hooves, i make it sometimes smooth and sharp.

4. I draw the mane like it is. Sometimes i put in some details. Same for the tails.

5. I color smoothly and then i add some highlights/shadows to make it fancy. In traditional style, i shade with my pencil. I don't need colors.

6. I don't include a background, because the object is usually the most important to me.

7. My art style is very sketchy. The lines are very very sketchy, because i use a pen in digital art.

8. Nope.

1. I start with the ear, for some reason, then I go on to the rest of the head, and mane.

2. I draw the eyes MLP style, but the draw the iris' slightly smaller, with the light shine a bit bigger.

3. I draw the hooves kinda roundish at the ends.

4. I draw the mane and tail the same way it usually is on the pony.

5. I color flatly, but items in the back of the picture would be slightly darker.

6. I don't usually draw a background.

7. My art style is pretty neat, because I have the shapes drawn out in my head, and i just basically copy it onto the paper. I draw on paper using my hands and a pencil, not a computer program, because I haven't found a good one yet.

I start with the eyes, move on to the mouth/snout/eating-hole and then the ear, the mane, and finally I'll just add some lines to make the face and stuff xD

I usually only draw pony's faces (or portraits if you may), every now and then I try to draw a body :V

1. Which body part do you start with?

I always start with the head, by drawing a circle and then adding the nose and ears. 

2. How do you draw the eyes?

I draw the MLP eyes but that's because I'm best at copying pictures...so I guess it's whatever eyes are on the picture I'm using as a reference. 

3. How do you draw the hooves?

I draw them with roundish edges.

4. How do you draw the mane/tail?

Once again, usually how it is in the picture. 

5. How do you color?

I sketch, so usually don't add color. 

6. If you include a background, how do you usually draw it?

No backgrounds

7. What's your art style?

My art style is to draw by looking at a picture which I can usually do pretty well as long as it's like a simple cartoon image or something. I have attempted drawing photos and it went okay. I'm more of a sculptor though.

Not yet but I'm working on one!

1. I start by drawing a random part of the body, but usually it's the head.

2. I sometimes do them the way like the show, or just my way, which is a circle then a medium size pupil and some color (lol)

3. I always draw them either too fat or too thin >.<

4. I draw the mane like it usually is on the pony, or my own hairstyle.

5. I color weirdly, like, I color roughly, if that makes sense. I don't stay in place.

6. I really don't include a background that much, well actually, all the time!

7. I have a strange art style. So, I don't know how to say it.

1. Which body part do you start with?

The Head, Heads are always the easiest to start with, For size purposes.

2. How do you draw the eyes?

I litterly draw two lines for the outside ring, one slightly curved circle in that, a smaller circle in that, but I always leave a space somewhere in it for the White Dot Thingy

3. How do you draw the hooves?

The Bottom/Ends are a slightly curved line

4. How do you draw the mane/tail?

However you want! As long as it looks good with your pony and you like it

5. How do you color?

I usually imagine my pony with certain colours, but sometimes I scribble some colours together on a separate page to see what looks good

6. If you include a background, how do you usually draw it?

Softly, I don't like to make the background stand out too much, But if I do, I'll use SAI to draw

7. What's your art style?
