Dealing with Haters

The reason why haters form is because of the hasty generalization that formed form the previous generations of My Little Pony (especially generations 3 and 3.5). Tell him about what makes MLP:FIM different from the others and maybe show him a clip from "Sonic Rainboom", of course, the Sonic Rainboom scene. Haters are just ignorant, that's all. Prove that MLP:FIM is different from the other generations.

You should talk to him about it.  You're friends for 13 years, meaning this is pretty serious.  If you let him knwo what this series means to you, he should respect that as a friend.
