Hello Everypony,

I hope you all are doing well. I've been feeling pretty crappy about my life with some certain things going on and finding this fandom and series just recently has helped a lot, so thanks a ton for that. Anyways, as you can probably tell from the title I'm looking for some happy songs that you listen to to cheer yourself up. They don't have to be pony related though any pony music is indeed welcome. As for genres I like just about every type of music except for just about any music they play on modern hits radio so just about any feel-good song will work. Thanks for everyponies help!

Pony related happy song I listen to when sad:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cz7ijor1j18

Another Pony related song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNIiF4zypwo

This one is not necessarily a happy song, but I listened to it when I wanted to commit suicide. When I was in that state, I would always listen to the rapping section of the song. To "grow a backbone, and I made a promise to never ever give up", like "Daring Do."

It's quite silly, but it helped me a lot.

Here's a song I saw today. Pretty great tune in my opinion.

Irish jigs, you just can't beat them :P

Sometimes, I actually end up listening to my own music. (XraYZ - Flying)

But most of the time, I might just listen to this. (Vivaldi - La tempesta di Mare/Storm on the Sea)

Another awesome piece, Klaypex - Rain:

"Oh things change,
no use holding on,
because nothing stays the same"

(Also, YouTube doesn't seem to be converting these links into previews...)

Oh my ears. I haven't really listened to much dubstep before (is this dubstep? I'm not very familiar with the whole electronic genre) and I just got a new gaming headset with amazon bass. This just makes want to move . Thanks for the links. Keep them coming ponies!

EDIT: Oh I just realised that first one you made yourself. That is really well done! It's very relaxing.

I consider it melostep, when compared to Skrillex, who kind of made his own dubstep (I'm more of a classical person so melostep is what I consider it, not what others think)

And more of my own creations.

I usually find it that heavier stuff makes me happy and energetic

But not everyone would agree with that so I guess these are some songs that people would consider "happy"

Some vocaloid stuff is what people would find happy that I'll listen to on the occasion

Hatsune Miku is probably one of my favorites

And I also don't mind Owl City

Since Ocean Eyes is a very well done album

Woah, it's been a while since I've heard anyone talking about Vocaloid. I haven't really listened to it myself since I'm not too big on J-pop (Vocaloid is J-pop, right?), but I kinda liked hearing about it, if that makes any sense.

And to the OP, pretty much anything from both of Helloween's Keeper of the Seven Keys albums are happy, except "A Tale That Wasn't right". Michael Kiske's just a happy guy, I guess. Try out "Eagle Fly Free" or "Future World".

Although Andi Deris did one pretty happy song in their 2013 album.

Vocaloid is just computer generated vocals

And yeah I guess it could count as J-Pop

I myself am not a huge fan of it

Though I do find it nice to bring up on the occasion

When I really do feel like listening to it

If nothing else, it'll make you laugh.

This one always puts me in a good mood. It's so nonsensical and carefree, it kinda makes me forget about bad things for a moment.

And this? Well, this is just funny. (For some reason, the preview won't show up, and I don't know why, but don't worry, it's nothing bad.)

Anything by these guys always manage to make me grin by the sheer stupidity and hilarity of their music and videos. This one is one of their better songs to cheer up to IMO.At the very least,it'll make you go "wtf" in a good way.

This song is from Final Fantasy X.I absolutely love the guitar in this song,it's so upbeat and relaxing. The soundtrack has some pretty amazing songs to relax to,I highly recommend checking it out sometime if you just wanna relax.

And lastly, the single best motiviational song ever. This song was made to bring people outta the dumps. The lyrics and upbeat music make it easy to do anything while listening to this song.

I get music euphoria from quite a few songs, I won't post them all but here are a few.

If you are looking for pony music then this helps...

Make It Special (Season Rebirth MIX) - Foozogz

For none pony stuff, I find these can help.

Life In A Northern Town - The Dream Academy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzTNUMiMIsU

Walking In Memphis - Marc Cohn

I have some more, and I may post them later, though at the moment I may want to keep this post short for now.

I've got a few go-to happy songs.

First up is The Scissor Sisters song I Don't Feel Like Dancing.  It's just so catchy and, despite the name, makes you feel like dancing.  It's hard to be sad when you feel like dancing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bra-GWDka48

Next, Just a Gigolo by David Lee Roth.  The song's just so up beat and the music video is so funny, I can't help but smile.

Finally, we have Hooked on a Feeling by David Hasselhoff.  It's scientifically impossible to make it through this video without at least smiling.

I know the happiest song of them all! It's pretty uplifting, extremely uplifting, very catching and very well known. This is sure to brighten up your day.

Man, how did I not think of this?  This is the perfect happy song.  If you aren't whistling along by the end of it, well, it's just not possible.

Andrew W.K.'s songs are very uplifting to listen to.

Lyrics

You've Got To Keep Up

You've Got To Keep Going
You've Got To Keep Up
You've Got To Keep Going
No You Never Let Down
You've Got To Keep Going
You've Got To Keep Up
You've Got To Keep Oh

I Went Around The Place Where We Once Went Before
I Never Knew It'd Hurt So Bad - Oh
I Want It Back Again But You Just Slammed The Door
I Never Knew It'd Hurt So Bad - Oh

We Were Nothing But Kids On Top
Never Going To Stop
We Never Let Down We've Got To Keep Up
With Heads On High Never Going To Die
Because We've Got To Keep It Alive

When You're Down On Your Luck
You Got To Do It
Because You Can't Get Enough
You Got To Do It
You Never Give Up
No You Got To Do It
You've Got To Do All The Stuff That You Love
Let Me Tell You
When You're Down In The Mud
You Got To Do It
And You're Covered In Blood
You Got To Do It
You're Still Number One
Yeah You Got To Do It
You've Got To Do All The Stuff That You Love

You've Got To Keep Up
You've Got To Keep Going
You've Got To Keep Up
You've Got To Keep Going
No You Never Let Down
You've Got To Keep Going
You've Got To Keep Up
You've Got To Keep Oh

You Left Me Down So Many Times And Took Me Back
I'll Never Turn Around Again - Oh
And Now My Life Is Back I'm Back On The Track
And I'll Never Burn It Down And Dead - No

We Were Nothing But Kids On Top
Never Going To Stop
We Never Let Down We've Got To Keep Up
With Heads On High Never Going To Die
Because We've Got To Keep It Alive

When You're Down On Your Luck
You Got To Do It
Because You Can't Get Enough
You Got To Do It
You Never Give Up
No You Got To Do It
You've Got To Do All The Stuff That You Love
Let Me Tell You
When You're Down In The Mud
You Got To Do It
And You're Covered In Blood
You Got To Do It
You're Still Number One
Yeah You Got To Do It
You've Got To Do All The Stuff That You Love
Let Me Tell You
When You're Down On Your Luck
Yeah You Got To Do It
Because You Can't Get Enough
Yeah You Got To Do It

No You Got To Do It
You've Got To Do All The Stuff That You
Do All The Stuff That You
Do All The Stuff That You Love
Let Me Tell You

If you like 8-bit tunes, then this song may be for you. It's impossible for me to listen to

without wearing a massive silly grin on my face. Edited by Spess
