"EB NO!!" Cloud called out, "We dont know if whatever... or whoever caused that is still there!"

Upon hearing Cloud calling out to him, he immediately stopped himself before walking back to the group. "I... I'm sorry..." he replied. "It's just that... Well... To be honest, I... I don't know what came over me..." He then looked back towards Appleloosa again, as he felt his heart sink like stone.

Crystal looked at the ground and began to cry. "That's more ponies that I had the potential to help and keep safe but I failed, again..."

 

Nidal looked at the fire before beginning to climb into the sky, trying to see if she could spot the cause.

 

Down in the town, Void was walking along it calmly, jabbing ponies who tried to attack him with his tail and laughing as he watched their guts spill out.

Upon hearing what Crystal had said, tears had come to his face. *That... I... Is... But...* He couldn't think straight at. He just collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face. *Not again... Even more deaths... Deaths that could have possibly been averted... So many lives...*

Ampyrion gaped. "Oi, don't just stand there like a buncha numbskulls! We gotta put out the fire, there are still some ponies left to save."

He ran off towards the direction of the fire, the water droplet mark on his flank sparking angrily.

If only I could find the cause, I could put out the fire.

"No..." Lightning started, collapsing to the ground, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no... NO!" She slammed her forelegs on the ground, making the word "SMILE" on her foreleg completely visible. "EVERYTHING I MEET DIES!" She shrieked.

 

Hearing Lightning's shriek, Lunar stepped outside. Their was a bit of sadness in his eyes, and he knew there was only one creature that would do this. Void, He thought, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, VOID. Lunar dissapeared once again and reappeared in the town. "VOID, THIS IS MY TOWN", He hissed angrily, looking around for the manticore...

Void glanced across the street, saw Lunar, shrugged, and carried on with his business of slaughtering the town. Obviously, Lunar hadn't done a very good job, so he took it upon himself to correct his grievous mistake.

 

Crystal didn't do anything new, but Nidal went down to the ground and shook her head. "I can't see anything that could've caused the fires, but..." She whispered into C2's ear, "It was probably Void, if he took the train as well."

(Anyone wanna describe the scene, or is it just flames everywhere and everything?)

 

Ampyrion coughed as he choked on the thick smoke. I can't see in this mess. He looked around for any sign of movement, but all he could see were dead and dying ponies. Some of which, he noticed, had slash wounds...

"Anypony out there?" he yelled. "Anyone still there?" He began walking as quickly as he could in the direction of the smoke, hoping to find the source.

Upon hearing Lightning shriek, EB looked up and over to her. He slowly began to get back on his hooves and after getting on all four, slowly began to approach her. After he got right next to her, all he could do right now was give her a hug. The whole scenario had him all choked up, so trying to talk to Lightning was pretty much impossible. As he was still hugging her, he had caught a glance at her fore-leg and saw the word [sMILE] was carved into it. Yet he was still unable to speak or anything, so instead, he just kept hugging her.

Lightning let Electrobolt hug her, and she started to sob. "Why does everything awful always happen to me?" She whispered while sticking her face into his mane. She remembered the bodies of her murdered parents and being taken away to the orphanage.

 

Lunar was angry at Void, but he knew that he wouldn't stand a chance in a fight. Lunar looked over his shoulder and saw a blue unicorn with a water droplet as his cutie-mark. One of them... He thought, remembering the pony from the chapel.

Waving away the smoke shrouding his head, Ampyrion spotted a pony looking over his shoulder, at him. "Hey, you!" he yelled to the pony, trying to make himself heard over the roar of flames and the crashing buildings. "You need help? Anypony you know need any help?" He glanced around at all the dead bodies littering the ground. "Uh...any survivors at all...?"

Letting Lightning cry into his mane, EB also had continues to cry himself. Upon hearing her say everything bad kept happening to her, he couldn't help but hold her tight. Finally able to utter something out, he whispered to her, "What... What do you mean..."

"No idea", Lunar said simply to the unicorn, "A manticore is destroying this place! How did you survive, anyway?" Lunar's horn started to glow a bit as he levitated a knife behind his own back.

 

Lightning lifted her head. "Ever since my parents died, my life has been a complete mess..." She sobbed, stuffing her face back into Electro's mane...

After having heard this, he couldn't hold his tears back. "I... I'm sorry... I'm sorry to hear that..." he barely got out as he continued to hug Lightning, to try and comfort her as best as he could.

Ampyrion rolled his eyes. "I...just came? From over there somewhere," he added, waving a hoof vaguely in the direction of where he thought he had come, although he wasn't sure.

Lunar smiled, levitating the knife in front of him and making a large slash through the unicorn's stomach, enough for it to bleed, but not enough for the injury to be serious. Lunar then pulled his hoof over the pony's mouth and nose, attempting to make him pass out from the lack of air...

 

Lightning continued to sob.

EB just continued to hug Lightning, unable to think of anything else he could say to her to try and help her out. No matter what he would try to think, all that would come up was a blank mind. He was completely dumbfounded as to how he could try to cheer her up. All he could do was hug and cry along with her.

(You sick person -_- ...actually I was thinking that too but couldn't think of anything better)

 

"The buck?" growled Ampyrion as the pony slashed at him. "Hey, what do you think you're doing? The entire town is burning to the ground, and you go around trying to mug other ponies?" He condensed what little moisture was left in the air into a wall of glimmering ice, which, although not very long-lasting, gave enough of a blinding sheen for him to buck off the pony trying to suffocate him and dash back into the smoke cloud.

 

Great, now I got a fire AND muggers to watch out for. Maybe I should leave before I get into any more trouble.

Lunar growled as the unicorn escaped from him. "I'm not trying to mug you, so shut up and pass out!" He yelled at the pony, sending the knife flying in his direction...

 

Lightning still continued to sob.

Ampyrion rolled his eyes. "Unicorns don't levitate stuff for nothing, you know." Using his horn, he grabbed onto and levitated the knife, then thudded it into a pile of debris he passed.

"See you later, slowpoke!" He disappeared around the corner. Unfortunately, he didn't really know where he was going. "Pretty lost," he thought, as he examined the stacks of crates and smoldering support beams littering the ground. "Whatever, I just need to get away from that pony. That's just sad, trying to rob ponies while the entire village is burning to the ground." He kept running.

Still hugging Lightning tight, EB was still trying to think of what he could say to her... *Why...* he thought, *why can't I think of anything to help her out...? I... I want you to be happy again, Lightning... I really do... But what do I say...? I... I don't want to say anything wrong... But WHAT???* Tears kept streaming down his face as he had no idea what to do or say anymore.

 

(Well... I guess I better get off for the night as well...)
