Why hello there, would you like some recommendations to new music?

Well then look no further than here, this is the place for when you wanna find bands and artists

That you may have never heard of until now

How do you get recommendations? Well all you need to do is write down a list of your favorites

But make sure it is well organized and full of all your top picks

Here's an example one that I've done:

Favorite Metal Bands: Converge, ISIS, Neurosis, Pelican, Russian Circles, Cult of Luna, Norma Jean, Coalesce, Shai Hulud, Burzum, Liturgy, Sunn O))), Electric Wizard, Candlemass, Dir En Grey, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, Tool, In Flames, Scar Symmetry, Solution .45, Lamb of God, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, Nasum and Pig Destroyer

Favorite Rock Bands: Rise Against, Incubus, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Pink Floyd, Rush, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Staind, Porcupine Tree, and Live

Favorite Electronic Bands/Artists: Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Pendulum, Daft Punk, Justice, The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, Air, M83, Boards of Canada, Squarepusher, Flying Lotus, Autechre, XXYYXX, and Death Grips

Favorite Genres: Sludge Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Grindcore, Metalcore, Progressive, Ambient, IDM, Experimental, Industrial and Older EDM.

Least Favorite Genres: Dubstep, Old School Rock (depends), Country, Classical, Post-Hardcore, and Thrash Metal

Now as for who will be giving you the recommendations

Everyone will be giving you the recommendations

Anyone who thinks that they have an artist/band/genre in mind that you'll enjoy

Can freely choose to post that in here for you, though when you are doing this

Please be kind enough to leave examples of some good albums/songs that the band/artist has done

Or if it's a specific genre that you are recommending

Then please do include the best artists/bands for that specific genre

For those of you who wish to recommend me some music

Then please do send me some whenever you wish to

Because I'm always open to discovering new music that I'll like

As for my personal favorites, open up the spoiler

Since that list is 100% true

Favorite Rock Bands: Rush, Disturbed, My Chemical Romance, Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, Green Day, AC/DC, Rise Against

Favorite genres: Hard rock, heavy metal, alternative metal, thrash metal, progressive rock/metal, metalcore, punk, pop-punk

(I wasn't sure whether I should put certain bands under rock or metal, but whatever, it's not really a big deal)

Hmmm....I think you should try either Scar Symmetry or Solution .45

Those two metal bands would be very big to your preferences

Pop-Punk? (inb4 Blink-182)

I'd say to try a little bit of everything from electronic music, since it is one of the most vast genres

Maybe take some steps away from the world of EDM and try listening to some of the more experimental stuff by Radiohead

My only other suggestions are Rock-influenced bands like The Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails, and The Crystal Method

Though since all of those bands (except NIN) have EDM influence in them, I'm not 100% sure on either of them

And other than that, I'm not too sure

Bands I'd recommend-Rise Against, Rammstein, Disturbed, Metallica, E Nomine, Emigrate, Kaiser Chiefs, Haddaway, The Outfields, Eiffel 65.

Ones towards the left are

Who are you trying to recommend music to?

Me or RD?

If it's RD you're recommending to

Then I already know that he listens to Rise Against, Distrubed and Metallica

Also I'd agree with you on Rammstein

Okay it's kind of hard for me to recommend anything since you only have Royksopp mentioned

But I have quite a few ones that you should listen to:

The Knife

Portishead

Massive Attack

XXYYXX

Boards of Canada

Aphex Twin

and Squarepusher

okay so by Excition I think you're talking about Excision

And you seem to be a bit more of a dubhead

So I'm lost now, the only things that I can say now are The Knife and Justice

XXYYXX might be worth a go as well

I figured that you'd like XXYYXX the most out of them all

And BoC are one of the most iconic electronic bands

So they were probably an influence to Tychos

Aphex Twin I guess depends on which track

And Squarepusher is a DnB artist, so I figured that you'd like it

His most recent album, Ufabulum is probably more of your sort of thing

Since he took elements of modern EDM and put that into is overall style

I can recommend some stuff

M83

Faunts

Starflyer 59 (old stuff, new stuff kind of sucks)

Darwin Deez

Bat For Lashes

The Cure

Gorillaz

Again, who are these recommendations supposed to be for?

If I were to list everything I like here, it would take quite the while so I'm just going to ask for a specific genre

Metalcore

Deathcore

Anyone got any good songs/bands?

On the lines of Metalcore, Converge are the kings of that genre

Norma Jean are a good go as well

And with Deathcore, I'd say Veil of Maya

Definitely check out the RYM Ultimate Box Set project for ANY Genre search.

Go nuts. Go retro. Go genre.  Most of all have fun.

I've already listened to Death, At The Gates, Morbid Angel and Darkthrone, all of them were bands that I enjoy, I've heard quite a bit on Children of Bodom, but I've never heard of Arch Enemy nor Kreator. I'm a bit on the line with Thrash Metal, though it might be worth a try.

If you like DO end up liking Kreator, then you should check out Sodom. If your feeling adventurous than MAYBE you should check out Destruction. If your into old skool black metal then, you might like Celtic Frost. If you want more melodic death metal, you should listen to Dark Tranquillity.

Well I have listened to Thrash Metal, and the only Thrash band I've liked is Slayer along with that Aspid album that I was told to listen to, I've never heard of Celtic Frost, and I've heard a song by Dark Tranquility, it wasn't the best that I've heard but it still was pretty good.

If you like Slayer, then you'll probably like Possessed. You should check out their album "Seven Churches". Sepultura is also good.

@,

If I were to recommend a couple thrash metal albums, I would recommend:

...And Justice for All by Metallica

Rust In Peace by Megadeth

Here are some thrash albums you should get:

Bonded by Blood by Exodus

Agent Orange by Sodom

Release from Agony by Destruction

Thrash Zone by D.R.I.
