What is Diamond Tiara's and Silver Spoon's destiny?

I was thinking about this at work today and kinda had to laugh at it, considering a pony's cutie mark decides their destiny. I can only think that it's just to be snobby little snots, period. lol

They're gonna become Equestria's Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan, or something where they become lowlifes who happen to be rich. Unless they have some sort of epiphiny/redemption, I don't see a bright future

Silver Spoon, jokingly, was probably born with her Cutie Mark.  Heard/read somewhere that she is a relative or daughter of Hoity Toity.

As for Diamond Tiara, I would guess a wannabe princess or a primadona.  Hate to imagine DT as a young mare/teen pony, but I think Silver Spoon would be a decent pony/individual if she were to get away from Diamond Tiara.

I think Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's destiny is, to well make the Cutie Mark Crusaders miserable. Then, if they accomplish that they will probably tell their dads to buy them some land in the other lands of Equestria then become low lifes.

Their destiny is to ruin the cmc's lives.Seriously, though, they should have earned their cutie marks in making ponies miserable :P.

Their destinies is to become snotty rich fillies in the school, considering Diamond Tiara's father's name is "Filthy Rich". tongue.png

EDIT: And be the attention w***** of Ponyville.

Their destiny is to live like the low down fillies they are now. They won't get anywhere and all they will do is complain until Celestia banishes them to the Everfree Forest...well...mostly for Diamond Tiara.

Maybe silver spoon has a keen eye for silverware and become a silverware maker? Although that would be pointless in Ponyville...

As for Diamond Tiara, maybe she just likes tiaras... yeah, that's all I got.

Their destinies are to be better then everypony else.

Nah, why would that be the case.  They are trying to live out the cutie marks to the best of their abilities.  I guess just being rich.

I always figured their destinies were to live rich and fabulous lifestyles. Or maybe Silvers Spoon has a future in the catering or fine dining businesses. As for Diamond Tiara... I got nothing sleep.png

Based of their cutie marks, my guess is to, more or less disregarding logic, being the 'snotty, rich brats' of the group, or in this case, show. It really shows in their personalities and doesn't really result in likable characters, but rather, characters we love to hate.

I realize there have been quite a few of antagonist redemption in season 3. These two are the kind of characters who I think cannot and will not be redeemed as those are the kind of characters I think should stay around as bullies to the CMC for the remainder of the show, some of their plots develop from the duo.

Well I agree with that, but only for Diamond Tiara. Silver Spoon, on the other hand, has more of a chance of finding redemption. For example, in the episode; Family Appreciation Day, Silver Spoon actually applauds Granny Smith's Story, before being scolded by Diamond Tiara. This leads me to believe Silver Spoon acts like the way she does because of Diamond Tiara.

True, maybe SS became a bully for the same reason Babs did initially; temptation. SS was probably an innocent little filly among the students at the school, but then was probably teased about something about her (probably her glasses); and decided not to be on the bottom tier, thus, joining DT in a friendship that would involve having DT behind her back with no risk of getting teased or made fun of.

I do see some hope in SS becoming good and friends among the Crusaders. I think she has the potential to be a great character in the show.

The cutie mark = destiny idea is nonsense IMO. I think Diamond's future is to look down on other ponies for being poorer than her until one day she looks back and realizes she has not a friend in the world.

As for my beloved Silver Spoon, she will eventually move on and be her own pony, possibly making silverware. Or cooking. Or selling antiques. xD

Hmm, I never thought about it that way. My theory was that she had no friends, so she turned to Diamond Tiara. But I like your theory much better.

You know, this topic would make a good episode.

I agree; I think I'd love to see an episode in season 4 that delves into their backstories, and then maybe SS figures it's better that she leaves her friend, as it may turn out not to feel right to her, that she needed to be with the crowd in the first place.

That's another thing I'm starting to like about her, she's rather adorable. (Dem glasses...) And yeah, some cutie marks (e.g. background ponies) could be just for the heck of it, and could have infinite potential for a backstory. I'm looking forward to a DT/SS episode in season 4, as stated above.

Maybe for an episode, Diamond Tiara goes on vacation or something. Silver Spoon then realizes that DT is the only friend she has and no one else wants to be her friend due to how SS is usually mean. SS then turns to the CMC and finds redemption. The CMC then find out about SS backstory with DT.

This thread appears to be discussing MLP:FiM in some way, shape or form. Thus, it has been sentenced to Show Discussion.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

The way I've always imagined it, Silver Spoon's cutie mark means that she has a knack for things that can bring her wealth, and Diamond Tiara has a knack for political power. Which kind of makes sense, as Diamond is shown to be controlling and able to find methods (of questionable morality) to control ponies that she deems inferior.

Sort of like how Filthy Rich, if I recall, was pretty strongly implied to have a destiny of frugality and entrepreneurial success.

That's what I was thinking too.  Maybe their destiny is to one day get a reality show and become Equestria's version of the Kardashians.

I never thought about that before, but it makes sense.  The two obviously bonded over something and became friends, but eventually I'd like to think Silver Spoon will figure out what's good for her and move on if Diamond Tiara stays the same.  Perhaps Silver Spoon is actually nice when she isn't around Diamond Tiara.  @Blue_Moon was right, this topic would make a good episode.

They seem to be treated as unredeemable characters.  The CMC felt really bad for almost pushing Babs in the mud.  Then Babs causes Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon to fall in mud, but this apparantly isn't a bad thing.  They're just there to be b****es I suppose.

I love you.

I can see it now. Daddy's little girl will take over the business and turn it into an "empire".  She'll be a shrewd businessmare and lead "Rich's Barnyard Bargains" to new heights. Her knack for being able to control others will definitely help her as CEO of the company and help her conquer other companies (forming a conglomerate) and expand her influence on the market share.

They may straighten out their lives. I see the two of them going into business together. Silver Spoon will become one of Equestria's top silversmiths, while Diamond Tiara will become official jewelry designer for the palace in Canterlot.

Yeah, that's basically what it is. In fact, in the first season in the episode "Call of the Cutie," Scootaloo even alludes to this when explaining that a lack of a cutie mark means potentiality within a foal, saying to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon: "...and she's not stuck being stuck-up like you two." So, basically, they'll inherit their parents' businesses and be rich, but have very little substance to their characters.
