Female Voice Actress.... (We actually don't need anymore :P)

Alright, not that I really expect much of a turnout for this, but I'm wondering if a VA here would like to help me. I need somepony to do a rarity voice. You need to sound pretty close to her. It's just a small script that you need to read for a Happy B-day video (which has yet to be written) in her voice. Please tell me if you're interested. It would really mean a lot to me and I'd find someway to repay the favor. You can PM me if you want to do it or if you have questions.... or you could post it here. Either way works. Thank you so much in advance, whoever you are  (PS, Isobel, I asked you first on youtube, but you didn't reply )

 

 

Ok, slight change in plans. Instead of just rarity, i'm going to have several parts open.

 

Pony(what the voice needs to sound like)

 

Rarity* (You know... Rarity. Sophistcated)

Minuette* (She can sound anyway you want her to)

Octavia (Classy. Think Frasier style)

Pinkie Pie (You know what she sounds like)

Fluttershy (Quiet and shy)

Twilight (Sure and... Twilighty

Scarlet Scribes (Aloof)

AppleJack (American Southern accent) - Emerald <3

Rook (that's me...)

The Happy Birthday is going to be a voice skit between the characters. You can try out as many of them as you like, and'll probably get multiple of them. You can also suggest other characters if you'd like

 

My friend's birthday is April 28. We need to try our best to get this done before then.

Perhaps you can give her a try? Try recording some of her lines ("They may not be as sophisticated as some of you Canterlot ponies, but they are my best friends. And they are without a doubt the most important ponies I know." try that?). And post if on the forums Just to see.

Do your best I want to at least get 2 or 3 VA's to compare (the person this is for is pretty particular rarity's voice D: )

 

Course, not that many ponies have signed on, so you might get it regardless.... ANYWAY try your best rarity. I look forward to hearing it

Not a problem. Anytime is good.

 

And you can attach a file to the post by clicking the big blue "Upload files + Other Reply options" thing when you're writing a post. After that, you should see a text box and a "Attach files" under it. I think you should be able to figure out the rest

 

Good luck! I look forward to hearing your voice! Please feel free to do as many of Rarity's lines as you want. In the end, though, I think I might need something that sounds very sophisticated...

In my opinion, you're sounding higher then before, her voice is kind of soft and a bit lower, the first one did sound more like her, the second was too high up and did a lot sound like pinkie. Rarity, more so, kind of sounds like she's talking through her chest, in a sense. Maybe try bringing your voice down lower and being a small bit more dramatic about your statements, she's sophisticated but in that statement she also kind of has this snooty way about her sentences. I personally think you can pull it off, if you can control you're voice well.

 

They may not be as sophisticated as some of you other Canterlot ponies, (soft pause, she's making a statement) but they are MY BEST friends! And they are WITHOUT A DOUBT the most important ponies I know." (she trails softer down as she says this, as if she's trying to calm herself.) 

 

It might help to find the episode and listen to her a bit to try and copy it :3 I really hope this helps.

Oh my gosh I'd really love to try, Rarity to me is one of the easiest voices ever!-but I'm just far too shy.... Maybe I'll think about it... But it has to be when I'm home alone or just upstairs by myself because I really don't want anyone hearing me. that's my problem, I really wanna be a VA as well... At one got any advice for me? I was thinking me and my sister should just spontaneously make our own recording session, but I just don't have the nerve.. :'(
