Why is Babs Seed a loved/hated charecter?

I, for one adore babs. Her accent is awesome, even better than Applejacks, she's so cute, Nd her personality is great! When she made an appearance in apple family reunion, I SQUEED!

 

What do you guys think?

It's funny that you mentioned her accent, because that's the exact reason why I dislike her. She could be the cutest, most developed character in the entire show, but the moment I hear her speak, I'll never be able to get past the fact that I think her accent is awful.

 

Besides that, she is a pretty good character, for a CMC, at least.

Well, I hated her at first, obviously. But once she became friends with the CMC, I liked her. She's probably tied with AB at 3rd in my favorite CMC, with Scootaloo in second, and Sweetie Belle in first.

 

But I certainly don't hate her.

I loved her before the episode even aired. A rough-and-tumble bully pony from Manehattan, now that's my kind of character. And her accent is awesome. Was her behavior unacceptable? Yes, bullying isn't okay. Is she able to be forgiven? Yes, she's as imperfect as anypony else.

I think the episode and her character can be easily related to by most people in the sense that high school ()for me at least) was a join the bully's or become bullied sort of affair.

 

She is a good character and i liked her overall, i can see how the accent can be a big plus and a big minus depending on who your are

Best CMC is Scootaloo, second is Applebloom, third is Sweetie Belle and last is Babs. She is ok overall but I don't prefer her over the other CMC members.

I would agree with you overall, but i would say Apple bloom and Sweetie Belle are equal

Sweetie belle's voice cracks are bucking adorable, I agree, but Apple Bloom has best pony as her big sister and has a better accent :3

I don't really hate or or love her.. She is a good pony, so I really don't have anything bad to say about her. Only I don't really like the accent. Babs Seed is a great addition to the CMC though!

Babs is one of my favorite characters.  I actually like the color scheme and the accent is friggen awesome.  In my opinion 2nd best CMC.  After Scootaloo.

Bab's is an interesting character with a great deal of potential, she is not my favorite filly as that title goes to Sweetie Belle but I hope to see more of her in future episodes.

I love Babs Seed. She's cool and has that tomboy attitude and style. I felt kinda bad when she told Applebloom she was bullied, which is why she bullied Applebloom. I was very surprised when Babs turned on the CMC as soon and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon entered the picture. I tell ya, those two low-down fillies are to blame.

I love Babs! From the moment she first appeared, I thought she was adorable. She has this 'tough pony' type of attitude and accent to go with it, but her personality itself seems to contradict that, which I find cute. I was in shock when she appeared in Apple Family Reunion, though she did not get enough screen time at all, what a tease.

I thought the point WAS to parody a New York accent. And yeah, poor Babs, I was so glad when the bullying thing had been fixed in Family Reunion.

It's a combination of her annoying accent (to me), her silly hair/mane (again an opinion), her butch look with rounded face and her aggressive attitude. It all leads to me disliking her. Perhaps it's even simpler and is just the whole first impressions thing but I don't think so.

I don't mind Babs much; I like her personality, and I'd say she has a fairly deep backstory for a CMC, but I don't like her colour scheme that much and I HATE her accent with a passion. Really, I could get to like her if it wasn't for the fact that every time she speaks I want to bang my head off a wall.

Babs Seed is kind of good and has a bit of development in in the two episodes she appeared in but I really can't stand her accent it just is not pleasent to the ears.Though she is not my favorite in fact she would probably be the CMC I like the least except for the fact she has been far more devoloped than Scootaloo who had 3 season to do so and yet has not justified to me why she is in the show. She just hasn't been devoloped enough or at all really.

I liked her character. I think that maybe she could have been portrayed a little bit more sympathetically, but overall I enjoyed her episode. I can't help but feel bad for her.

Anyone who treats the CMC like crap gets crap from the fandom. I think Babs is pretty cool. I like seeing a non-so-feminine little pony for once. (Not that feminine ponies are bad! What else do you expect from a pony show? I just like something a little different for once.)
