Are love and hate opposites?

I'm afraid it's actually fear that is the polar opposite of love. Hate comes in a close second. Why is fear the polar opposite? Because you can fear anything, but you can't hate everything.

Whatever else love and hate are, they are certainly not mutually exclusive.  But neither is fear.  You can love and fear something/someone at the same time...an abusive partner, a deity, or even the bomb.

I would also like to add that in ancient hebrew the letters regarding Love = 9 Fear =6 and Unition = 3    Hate is a different 6+3=9 because understanding fear and love simultaneously leaves a person in between the two as polar opposites.  Hate is technically a byproduct of fear. For example you would hate another guy talking to you girl because on the subconscious level you fear losing her in some way unless she had done an action that has completely abandoned all doubt. Paranoia is related to fear in that memories associated with with what other people would consider wrong are amplified with a fear emotion based on other protocols or memories that would add to emotion of the single idea that was though about in the first place. (i know that sounded weird but that is the best way i could shorten it.) Even the darkest of hearts or minds still understand love. Because one can still love the fear emotion but remain in the darkness, overzealous with it's power.

 

 Hate on the other hand one has to realise is that you first instinct is not hate when it comes to something unknown. First reaction is always fear based. Hate is an emotion everyone understands the most becuase it's easy to do. Even Jesus hated certain people but that was because he saw how they ruled with fear instead of love. But overcoming fear to understand it is the hardest to do, just like understanding love on all levels is equally as hard. Chaos is the range of emotions between the two.

Hmm.  Quite right.  Incidentally, in the ancient Sanskrit, the word for Confusion = 8, Irony = 3 and Boredom = 26.  So therefore, muffins.

The thing I find with love and hate is that both require a sort of passion to them. When your in love, you'll go through more to get what you'd like and you'll do more for what you believe. The same goes for hate honestly, I mean, some people will go through leaps and hoops to attack something they truly dislike to the point of hate.

They are very opposite of each other..

 

Hate- Is not right on any level dose not matter what or who it is you hate... its not right.

 

Love- Is something wonderful!!! Being in love is wonderful too! the feeling of it and just knowing someone loves you! just makes you feel so good! this pony dose not have to love you! but they do anyway and its so nice
