I wanted to use a storm, but the problem is it doesn't seem to be stormy outside Canterlot, so a break shall have to do. Arcanel would be smart enough to calculate whether he could reach Vanhoover or not in one way. After all, Sally's Sunshine is very close to Canterlot, right? It wouldn't make sense to have a break outside Canterlot. But I think I can manage.

I think that's a great thing of Lapis and Asteria. Since they are natural travellers, they don't really need a complicated reason for most places they are in, which gives lots of nice freedom of writing.
