Basically the concept behind MRAs is to advocate for fixing issues related to men being treated badly by society, such as society perceiving certain behaviors as bad, informing about males being raped, etc etc.

 

In practice, however, it ends up being horribly sexist, chauvinistic, and insistent that every bit of progress made by women in advancing towards a level of actual equality--which we are very far from achieving as of right now, despite what some people might think--are actually oppressive and should be rolled back. They also fail to realize that practically all of the issues MRA's talk about as problems with men are a result of how men treat women:

While that is a sound argument, I'd rather we dismantle human society and try again. While that is quite impossible, it would be a fresh start.

 

Ah well, don't pay me any mind. I'm just your run of the mill anti-humanist. We will do what we can because we must. I'll do my part by avoiding politics and hope the people who are working towards a civilization I can be proud of know what they are doing.

See, there's actually a significant problem with trying to lump everything into one phrase, such as human or equal rights, and that's that it ignores systemic and institutionalized imbalances between sexes and races, especially in terms of intersectionality, or where those two crossover. That is, a black woman is treated worse than a white woman, etc etc.  Equal rights would be a great phrase to use if everyone in society was already equal, but we're not. Not even remotely.

BTW again, right when I became a moderator of my other home site, I had a lot of people come to me about Simcity 4, which is why I want to start an SC4 Discussion thread right here.

Nah, I did neither of the two. I just had to send in mine and get its hdd repaired. Now Ive just gotta move all my ish back over again.

 

And I definitely have more technological power in this house. However, my mom has more actual power and thus uses that to negate my tech power. She also believes I'm a living death for computers just because I use mine more there she uses any she's ever had (She only uses it for financial stuff, work, and AOL while I do everything a computer allows one to do and apparently this is a bad thing...).

 

 

I also do plan to build my own computer, preferably a desktop unless my room doesn't allow due to space issues, once I get the money and know how. Only problem is I also gotta pay for my car that I just flipped over and might be totaled or buy a whole new one. :/

Specs of my computer:

 

Asus Sabertooth motherboard, AMD FX 4170, 560 TI NVidia video card, and 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD, and Windows 7. And because of its ridiculously high clock speed (4.2GHz without any overclocking), I can pretty much throw anything at my computer and it'll still run:

 

Simcity 4, Visual Studio 2012, a crapton of Google Chrome tabs, Inkscape, Minecraft, all of the modding tools I use for SC4, Paint.NET, Blender (maybe...?), and the new screen recorder that I use. The only bottleneck is the RAM, and I often use 2 or 4GB RAM at any given time.</overkill?>

Fine. Dramatic reprogramming of humanity would be far too costly anyhow.

 

I read a book once where through delicate social implementations, the problems of humanity were closer to fixed. But it took moving to a new world to do that. It seems as though that's much the case with such things. Either that or linking people's minds into one network or at least showing people the perspectives of others. I can't see a reasonable solution to humanity at this time. I have high hopes for the future and pray I will see the day when humans can live in peace and equality.

 

Another factor also seems to be an outside force that forces unification, so there's that.

Since I always talk to you about this and you never seem to understand it, but I think you're just gonna know it because I say it to you all the time, and Berry, I know you're listening somewhere, but I need to call you out on this:

 

My plan is to gather up the SC4ites of MLP Forums and invite them over to a dedicated SC4 Discussion/Gameplay thread, but the one thread already made for it is half-dead and I'm stuck between just going ahead and reviving that thread and asking a mod/admin for a more expert opinion.

 

And by the looks of things, I'm actually interchanging people between MLP Forums and my other home site of Simtropolis, so I'm literally the bridge between two fansites right now.</AvatarTheLastAirbenderReference>

Not bad. Mine's a wee bit less impressive: Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6700 series with 1 Gb memory, CPU is AMD Athlon II 450, tri-core with a clock speed of ~3.2 (which is made up for by the three cores), and 4 Gb of RAM.

 

I have an upgraded motherboard and power supply to accomodate as well, but I don't remember the name of the board right off hand. I'm still using the hard drive the computer came with, which happens to be 180 GB.

 

So yeah, there you go. x3

RAM's so cheap these days (my average expense is about 5-6 dollars per GB) that it wouldn't really hurt all that much, but I only have an SSD and two flash drives as my only means of storage, collectively totalling to something about 140GB storage...
