Even the great and powerful Inquisitor needs a power armor to survive in some occasion. And we all know Astartes armor makes everything about 20 times cooler :3

I don't know... In some Inquisition official arts, the Inquisitor often wears the same pattern of power armor that's often worn by an actual Astartes, albeit with much less pauldrons.

 

So far I haven't found anything official that either deny or support this *shrugs*

Is it called Astartes armor? I know the bolter is called a Godywn mk something.

 

Also this site runs extremely slow on my iPad. Do any other tablet users have this problem?

You mean Godwyn pattern? There is a lot of bolters, but the standard Astartes bolter is the Godwyn pattern. Pretty sure The commissar's bolters are that of different types.

 

That's the problem with power armor, there are too many of them to remember. So far I only know various Mark pattern (Crusade, Maximus, and whatever else), and in the Edition 6 rule book, it kinda implies that Inquisitors' power armor is almost similar with Astartes', but without the extended life-support system.

Yeah, the problem with 40k fluff is that there's too much to remember. There're certainly more gear variants than what is available in the game. Once I looked up bolter bolts to learn about how they fired caselessly, but there ended up being many different types of ammunition, even bolts that had pysyic ordinance. I'm sure the same thing applies to power armor. Different chapters probably field suits with different qualities, yet they don't mean anything in game. Edited April 7, 2013 by TheIronHugo

Too many fluffs is one of many reasons why Warhammer40K is so satisfying to read and discuss

At least we don't have worry too much about CS Goto *shiver*

 

Bolter rounds is almost like rockets. The gun only have to "click" something and the round will propel itself to the intended target, so there would be no need for gunpowder casing we are using for the usual stubber guns, or at least that's what it should be. Not sure about the psychic ordinance, but since pretty much everything in that universe can be possessed by daemons, it's very possible.

 

I want a heavy bolter :c
