I have to look for schooling programs soon, I know what I want to pursue but I need to find the right program first...

 

It's not that easy. I've looked a bit already and I dunno where I could find what I am looking for...

Why would you need to go to college for that? Aren't there technical schools that offer that kind of training? I'd think they'd be cheaper, and you definitely wouldn't have to worry about all those BS college prerequisite courses.

I wish my parents understand I want to start with a lineman program, I don't think the community college my parents recommend would start with that.

 

I wish I knew some programs or technical trade schools around here that would teach that, I will have to do lots of searching but I need to get cracking on my future. I have a lot of work to do.

 

But I also need a job... I'm tired of not having any money.

It doesn't seem like something that you'd have to move halfway across the country for. There are tons of technical schools. My shitty city barely has anything going for it, and there are like four technical schools here. I'm sure there is one close to you, so don't lose heart.

I live in the Denver, Colorado area so I'm sure there might be schools somewhere, but I have searched around here and it's doesn't seem like Google shows much... But I will just have to look harder.

 

I wish I knew more stuff around here. xD I want to look this stuff up myself or with my father, because what my parents are suggesting is not what I want to do.

I really wish I had more control over the touchpad on this damn TransBoard keyboard than I do right now. If I could I'd disable the zoom in/out gesture and also try to figure out how to keep Chrome from going full-screen when I'm trying to scroll.

 

Too bad Asus is dumb like that.

But I also love the touch screen on my computer, it's very useful, even though my main setup here in the basement I don't use my main laptop screen, I have an external monitor and I use a flat screen TV and use them both as two monitors.

 

I like my computer, it's one of those tablet computers with a pen and touch screen, it's nice. And it has that twisty screen that can turn it into tablet mode.

 

It's an HP Touchsmart TM2, but the touch functions are still finicky due to lose connections.

I have two Windows 8 devices, a MSI GT60 0ND gaming laptop (not a touchscreen device) and an Asus VivoTab Smart (a touchscreen device, as it's a tablet.) I tend to use the Asus as a side PC or as a productivity device while heavier stuff such as virtual machines, network simulation and games to the MSI. Since Asus is dumb they do not have anything that allows for configuring Windows 8 gestures (e.g. pinch-to-zoom, Charms bar) and I tend to activate them a lot on accident. I found something that I want though, an Aerb Bluetooth mouse with a built-in speaker. This should fix my problem of accidentally activating Windows 8 gestures when I don't want to. I want to scroll, not send Chrome into full-screen mode, dammit!
