 I have no idea how you have voluntary and involuntary breathing control, but my best guess is this: it's like the bladder in which you have a part under involuntary control (so you don't constantly wet yourself) and a part under voluntary control (so you can hold on for just one more minute as you search for a bathroom). Under normal circumstances, the involuntary part has full control, but you can control some part of it under voluntary control, unless there's something that requires the involuntary part to override it entirely. It's like trying to hold your... breath. At some point, your reflexes are gonna kick in and override your voluntary "I don't wanna breathe" action.Oh, and my Nanowrimo thing involves some level of computer stuff. I think I may have some sort of sugar intolerance, but the hard part is pinpointing what sugar. Problem is I don't have a control to experiment with.

A lot of my dreams have some sort of recurring theme: travelling, urbanised settings, or some building with a complex floor layout, or I play with the elevators or fear the floors will collapse.

I'm sorry to bring up Undertale for those of you who for some reason can't stand it, but I just completed my first whole true pacifist run...

And by Fausticorn, I'm not even kidding when I say that I'm actually drowning in my own tears.

Wow. The only time I've ever cried due to anything was when Buffy's mom died in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Other then that one instance, I've never cried from any sort of visual medium.

I can't say I had this same reaction.

 

Mostly cause I didnt do a true pacifist run yet. I'm still working on my first playthrough, which, happens to be a Genocide run. ^^

I highly doubt it. My heart is a black, shriveled thing which takes delight in the suffering of fictional people. I can usually only sympathize with non-fictional people.
