Buying a whole new case seems silly to me. Then you have to buy an new case and a new video card!

 

There's an 11-inch clearance between the very back of my computer to where the hard drive trays begin. Anything exceeding 11 inches is out. The R9 390 I was eyeing is on that very edge of being too big. I feel like I need insanely precise measurement tools for this.

 

Power's not a problem; my power supply's underutilised, so I can easily spare another 100 watts of power.

 

Researched my case and found that it supports up to 11.8 inch cards if I don't remove the hard drive cage. The R9 390 will just BARELY fit if I move the USB 3.0 cable to go through a different gromit.
