You haven't posted in a while sorry. D: How are you doing? I'll make sure to recognize you next time. I don't have everyone at the top of my head, I forgot some others too ya know. But if you think of me as a friend I definitely think of you as one. ^^

I hope so, because there's a lot of cables. For reference, here's how many cables there are in my room, in total.

 

For my speaker surround sound system, there's a cable for all six speakers, plus a power cable for the control box and subwoofer. (8)

 

There's technically three cables (though I'm counting only two) for my secondary speakers. (2)

 

There's two cables each for all three of my monitors. (6)

 

There's a cable each for my USB devices: keyboard, mouse, battery backup, and printer. The printer has its own power cable and the mouse and keyboard actually have their own USB extension cables each. (7)

 

My computer has its own cable for power. (1)

 

There's also an air circulator that also needs power. (1)

 

There's a modem and router/access point in my room. Each requires a power cable. There's an ethernet cable connecting the two together, plus a phone and coaxial cable that goes into the wall, plus a second phone cable that goes outside my room and into the living room phone. There's one more ethernet cable that goes to my computer. (7)

 

There's a third modem that we don't really use now, and it has its own power cable and a double coaxial cable connecting to it.(2)

 

There's a power strip where half of my devices connect to for power; the rest go into the battery backup. Those connect to the wall. (2)

 

And to make things extra complicated, here's how my sound is connected together: a single cable goes out of my computer and connects to a splitter that's also a cable. One end goes to my secondary speakers, and the other connects to another cable that goes to my surround sound system. (3)

 

What's 8+2+6+7+1+1+7+2+2+3? 39. And that's not even counting the USB cables I use to charge my tablet and phone and the extension cable that my tablet has to use, or even the power cable and transformer brick that my laptop uses, which is technically two cables, and that's not even including my second mouse for my secondary and tertiary computers or the cable for my headphones. So, in total, there's nearly 50 different cables always connected to something in my room.

This is all true, but I don't really have skill or knowledge at all in this area. D:

 

I'd somewhat rather not attempt it, fuck it up, and then waste a chunk of money when I could just get someone proper to do it. but, at the same time, attempting to save money is also a good thing. :z
