Ah-ha! There on the other site(s) you have one giant common interest! And that would be your love of Simcity4 and its mods! Not to mention your already greatly known around the place for that super mod you're working (or worked) on. But over here you don't have that same common interest (other than ponies) nor the recognition/fame level. Which in turn doesn't bring about the normal responses that you would normally expect from over there.

 

It's actually a lot more complex than that. There are different types of SC4 modding out there: BATing, T21ing, texturing, and so on, but the one that excites everyone is Transit Modding: The ever-popular Network Addon Mod and its Network Rule Modification. Unlike other games where you can add whatever you want, it can't be done with the NAM. It requires a single set of files to be modified and if there were dedicated transit modding teams, you'd get a lot of conflicts because there would be no cross-compatibility.

 

In fact, I was just a lurker when I started posting on those two forum sites, and despite saying "I'm not a member of the NAM Team, even though I wish I were" and "My ideas would be great if I were dead", I pretty much ploughed through that and started learning so much for myself that within barely two years of getting active on SC4D, I was already a full-fledged NAM Team Member by July 29th, 2011.

 

What got me active on SC4D in the first place? I had an old online friend all the way in Argentina who had some sort of disease that was destroying his bones and muscles. He eventually recovered, but nothing I said would help him get through, so I simply ragequit: I wanted to hide. To this day, I still believe that sent a shockwave through him to pretty much get the point across.

 

 

So I'm pretty much a newbie to the SC4D community... And forums... I've a lot of things to learn...

 

Also note that many of my thoughts are expressed through illustrations and a LOT of writings (Especially on deviantART) . Any NAM requests that I'll (hopefully) make someday may require an illustration, but lo and behold, no clue on how to do so. (I understand that pictures have to be posted on a different site...? I doubt DA would work as a prime choice...)

 

Who knows where I'll go from here?

Also as of May 30, 2010, 2:24 PM Pacific Standard Time, I'm pretty much decided to literally take refuge in the SC4 fourms. Things on DA went horribly wrong with a friend...

 

However I do NOT intend to stop with work in both HTF and SC4. I've things to do in both facets.

 

I've to learn how to post pictures of my SC4 stuff here.

 

Apparently I found the insert image thing but I've to know specific size specifications. Or any specifications...

 

I don't BAT, but I can make small modifications that consequently require the NAM and its plugins. I can additionally make necessary modifications to any of the RUL files, as well as texturing and pathing. It certainly feels good to be a part of a greater whole.

 

By the time the pony phenomenon began to reach Simtropolis, I thought I'd find it odd to be the only NAM Team Pony on board... Until Maarten became the second NAM Team Pony. Then one day, someone posted a link to MLP Forums, and then I followed it.

 

After some time, I started getting into immense emotional entanglements, two of which warranted me to take a momentary leave AWAY from the NAM Team, another one of which made me want to talk to Maarten for advice, after which it made me wish that he were here as well, more so than in the past...

 

If you were to take a long and detailed history of my existence on the web, you'll find that it goes through self-proclaimed schizophrenia, Happy Tree Friends, hero worship, Simcity 4, depression, NAM worship (though I don't know if you'd wanna call it worship when most of it were all excellent ideas), NAM Associatehood (if you wanna call that a word), a massive rebound from my depression, more HTF stuff, ponificaton, full-fledged NAM Team Member status, Minecraft, and finally, this.

 

I understand this and also I know what imagination is. I draw too just for myself, but your puting up an expectation that people we look at it which is why your geting hurt everytime. I'd tell you advice, but im sher you have heard this story already Ganaram.

 

I was still involved in drawing stuff pertaining to Happy Tree Friends, hence why I think of Lumpy the moose whenever I see you avatar... Among other moose...

 

I took on a near-separation between SC4 and personal art, up to the point where I became a bronie.

 

And even if I have no hopes for what I do, I still don't expect anything out of it... I pretty much should rewire myself so that I don't expect anything good to happen, even if it's that good...

 

Sometimes it's hard to explain myself...

CG is short for Canterlot Gardens . Anyway, still, I think I'm gonna have to stick with RD and Twilight for now. I think they are the characters I would use best. Then again, I might learn something else with Rarity, but it would take time because she IS a technical character. Then Pinkie Pie I NEED to learn how to do charge moves better. If I do and learn to use her, she'll move up fast in my usage scale. And as for Applejack I think she'd be 3rd option, considering, if you know how to play, when she gets close, it's over .
