How the fuck do you guys able to write so much?

 

I think it's about having the mentality for it (I also like to speak my mind ). You should see my fics for example. Most of the stuff is well, well explained, and it mostly ends up being a lot of the MIND'S thoughts than anything else. I always like explaining things. Even in the fic I don't intend for to be long. It's a way of writing. It doesn't make it any worse or anything like that. Hell, I admire those who can make short fics but manage to say so much in so little. I seriously admire them. I at least feel proud in making a good explanation, if it is.

 

For Celestia's sake I thought a scientifical explanation of the reason why there is more than one generation and why they are so different!

I was inspired to write as much as I could. I wanted my first advanced post to be a good one.

I've been prolonging a fic for a couple months now and I think I have a decent premise. However it's just a hook right now and I don't have anything else to go with it. I think I'm going to start work on a longer one with a better promise of working out.

I often found myself trying to shorten a long-ass scene into a few sentences, because i couldn't make myself to read anything too long.

 

I guess I need to practice more :<

I'm...not too sure yet. Not too long ago I first thought of my ponysona, and I took it slightly for the character I base my username in. Arcanel is an OC who's a wishgranting white dragon (I only saw that name used once and it was him. Nowehere else. I also happen to like the stories of the author who created him). So I sort of imagine myself as a brown maned, white coated pegasus, with blue wings as a cutie mark representing my freedom. But if I were to be completely sure, I wouldn't say.

Don't worry about it. If it's a more random thing, then there isn't a need for long sentences and stuff. If however, deep characterization or an explanation for an important thing is the matter, then yes, the best thing would be long paragraphs that made the reader informed, but not bored. It's a matter of skill and practice, and I can't say I'm good at it, or at least I don't know.

Oh, what happened if you don't mind my asking.

 

Started the day off at 5 am in the morning arguing with family members. Proceeded to go to work and get in a sequence of heated confrontations with folks that were lacking in brain cells - that lasted until 5 pm. Had the tip of one of the pointy ends of one of these beauties stuck pretty deeply in my finger all day until I got back home in the evening (when I was finally able to dig it out):

 

 

I was a bit upset. I'm cool now though.
