Not bad.

I don't normally nor have I ever done anything like that, so I can't give too good of a critique. :x

 

Everything in it sounds fine, tons of odd timing, but fine none the less. Least it feels like it.

The only real thing I don't like, is one snare being played at the end of one pattern. The one that starts at 2:15.

Whatever you did at 3:29....I love it! It sounds really good. Kinda like it was part of the original or the composer of the real song had done it.

yes, the timings are odd as fuck. i realized that as i went on with the song that the timings weren't perfect, but a bit variable. isn't that noticable all the time, but it is at some parts if you listen closely.

 

you mean there are too many snares? i sort of wanted to step away from how low in percussion the original track was, so i added a more upbeat pattern to give it a bit more life. is that what you meant about it?

 

and heh. the last part is actually something i'm not really that happy with. i mean, the result turned out well, but it sounds so low and dull it isn't really building up any suspense like the original track did. maybe if it had some reverb to it it would have sounded better? and syncing the piano track at the ending my god. the synth line at the end partially sounds like something out of the game's other tracks, though (i think it's because of the similar note progression, not neccesarily how it is played, but how it sounds like)

I think by recoloring avatars or other pony pics, it helps people make decisions on a proper appearance for their OCs.

The scrap version of my OC was done in a pony creator, and it looks horrid in comparison to the new style my avatar has.

 

Only downside to the recolored stare faces is that all the original ones are female, so I couldn't get one with the face shape I want.

As for the upbeatness, I think it could be done without so many snares. Maybe a less generic rock beat, but that's my inner drummer speaking.

I hate the way pony creator looks completely as well. If I could draw, I would have fixed up my OC by now, but alas, I haz no skills.

pony creator is limited, yes, but once again, i'm gonna say that you are able to knock up some pretty damn decent stuff in it if you work with it a bit. cas in point:

Maybe. Once I actually sit down and work on this thing I'll think about it.

well, i guess i could fix up the snares later on. i kinda liked how it is now, though. a lot of snares yes, but i didn't exactly aim for a realistic representation on how to play the drums, but went with what sounds good. and i rather like the end result. but i'll look into it and see if i can change something about it.

 

eh, it doesn't really sound like any of the other tracks. just that how the synthline goes down at the ending, a certain part of it reminded me of how the notes go in other songs of the soundtrack.

 

i might upload it to the art section. not sure, though.
