Simple answer: It's not G4.

 

Long answer: Empty characters with no development and mediocre villains. I wasn't a fan of humans in G1, it gave it a little bit of a Care Bears feeling to it.

 

I still think it's better than G2, G3, and G3.5 just because of the fantasy setting and the classic 80's villains it had.

for some reason i feel sorta bad for making this song in FL Studio. not that it is coming along badly; in fact, i'm working my way on the rough draft of the main body of the song. but still, it feels bad. i'm thinking that it might be because i'm using so many presets, and not much 'original' stuff, if you get what i mean.

 

I know that feel and what you mean, though, I usually don't mind using presets as I'm too lazy to fully tweak and or make my own sound from scratch. I will tweak some of the sounds every-so-often, but not all of the time.
