I have something for you all to look at, and I'd like some opinions.

I can kinda understand why he'd be cautious about joining us here. The first forum I went on was a complete piece of crap. There'd be fights all the time over who was the most popular, and the staff never got anything done properly.

This place is VERY different, and infinitely better.

 

As for the rest: I don't expect my respect to be handed out willy-nilly before I've truly met someone.

I almost always trust people, but my respect has to be earned properly. It can't be filtered through a friend.

No, I completely understand. That's what makes this kinda difficult. Shiny isn't trusting because of things that happened in the past. I really want Shiny to join and see this place isn't so bad. Shiny is on the fence, and all it would take is a good enough push. You can see that they're just iffy. They'd like to join, but their not sure.

First things first, thank you for thinking I can give well thought opinions. Second, well, for what I can see, Starshine has gone through something not exactly good to make him this untrusting. But I can completely understand his/her position. Look...don't force Starshine to come here. Don't go and ABSOLUTELY sugarcoat it, but maybe tell him how the forum works and stuff. Forcing a personal wanton would be a bad idea (even if it is for the Starshine's good). Problem is, I don't think SH will trust unless ourselves go to him/her, like he/she said. Maybe if you gave a little bit of imformation about the people you think you can somewhat define, he/she will ease up. Besides, you can tell SH to watch the thread and let him/her see for him/herself and see what happens from that.

 

But my main point is, don't constantly remind it, or else it will start to get annoying. I know you want SH to join, but he/she doesn't seem like the person who will go for it overnight. Does that sound good?

The chat thread is a fast paced awesome-fest filled with awesome people.

The discussion sections are filled with people that actually want to discuss stuff.

The forum games are always around if you just wanna relax.

And if you wanna post something that doesn't fit anywhere else, we have status updates.

 

I think I've listed everything that needs listing... Basically, joining the forum is better than hoping something fun appears on Tumblr.

I'm personally more for SC4 stuff, because I've been involved with that since 2010. Just knowing everything else (such as the Scootaloo Tumblr I made a link to) just makes for a rather interesting tangent that I keep in my back pocket, along with my really warm gummy bears, loose change, and pocket lint.

 

Plus, it's Pyfgcrl Chat Thread, not General Chat Thread, Diaper Chat Thread, Qwerty Chat Thread, Aoeuidhtns Chat Thread, Permutation Chat Thread, Anagram Chat Thread, Physics Chat Thread, Theneral Gat Chread, Þorn Chat Þread, Boldface Chat Thread, or JoJ ChahC ThreaerhT.

But I can completely understand his/her position. Look...don't force Starshine to come here. Don't go and ABSOLUTELY sugarcoat it, but maybe tell him how the forum works and stuff. Forcing a personal wanton would be a bad idea (even if it is for the Starshine's good). Problem is, I don't think SH will trust unless ourselves go to him/her, like he/she said. Maybe if you gave a little bit of imformation about the people you think you can somewhat define, he/she will ease up. Besides, you can tell SH to watch the thread and let him/her see for him/herself and see what happens from that. But my main point is, don't constantly remind it, or else it will start to get annoying. I know you want SH to join, but he/she doesn't seem like the person who will go for it overnight. Does that sound good?

Considering how much I laugh when that face appears, I don't think it sounds like a bad idea, despite myself. Although, for me and the rest of the GCT...Princess Molestia, you got competition.

 

 

I'm personally more for SC4 stuff, because I've been involved with that since 2010. Just knowing everything else (such as the Scootaloo Tumblr I made a link to) just makes for a rather interesting tangent that I keep in my back pocket, along with my really warm gummy bears, loose change, and pocket lint.

Well, in this case I would say "We don't need you to be awesome. Just yourself. After that the awesome will come to you, and you'll have joined the GCT like a zombie if you liked it enough" But seriously, tell Shiny not to worry about how he/she will present his/herself. And if it is us who need to prove him we're nice enough, then he might come here and judge. We're not going to ban/expulse him/her from here. Besides, I see Starshine as someone who has low trust, and not a lot of self-esteem, ergo, wants to fit in just right. But, do what you think is best Berry. If we can get another dweller of the GCT, that's be cool! (and it'll be a interesting surprise for Star ).
