What? What do you mean the Programs are getting ready? 

*Takes in a deep breath*

 

Long, long ago, there was a race of beings called the Arequarians. They, and their King, had somehow built a machine that could manipulate the fabric of space and time in such a way as to be able to create life. Yes, actual sentient life, with a soul and everything! They desired to use this amazing power to create the ultimate life form. Their first attempt at creating the ultimate life form was to create... humans. However, the Arequarians were not satisfied with their work; they hated how the humans could not keep peace among themselves. They banished the humans to another planet, called Earth. After a few years, they tried again, and created ponies. Now I admit I don't know why the Arequarians thought the ponies were imperfect, but they did, and they banished the ponies to a planet in the same solar system they banished the humans to. This is about the point in the story I make my appearance. I saw how the Arequarians created life freely, and I admit, I was a little jealous. I wanted to steal that machine away from them, but I knew I couldn't attack them directly, because they were too powerful. Instead, I went over to Earth, to see for myself the life the Arequarians created. But as soon as I got a good look at the humans, I fell in love with them! Not only were they intelligent and creative, but they were also disharmonious and destructive! The perfect combo! However, they were still living in mud huts and wielding wooden clubs! I descended to Earth, and made myself known to the humans as Mrak. I taught them advanced technology and arcane secrets! I taught them how to properly use and abuse magic! I taught them about the Arequarians, who had abandoned them and hated them. In return, the humans worshiped me as a god. With my help, the humans were soon powerful enough to rival even the Arequarians! But, that's when the Arequarians made their biggest mistake, creating the Programs. I don't know what possessed them to make those monsters, but they did. The Programs are energy beings made out of electromagnetic energy. They posses the singular ability to take control of machines and computers, and their first act was to create robotic killing machines to serve as hosts. The Programs quickly turned on the Arequarians, killing almost all of them. They hated all other forms of life, and they wished to destroy the Arequarians and their life making machine. They almost succeeded, but at the last second the King teleported the entire Arequarian planet away, saving himself and the life making machine. The teleport was impossible for the Programs to trace, as the teleport had used magic and not technology, and the Programs were unable to use magic. They would have then turned their weapons on the humans and the ponies, but I intervened. I told the Programs that I had created a device that could find where the King vanished to, but that said device used magic, and therefore the Programs couldn't use it. I told the Programs that if they killed any of the lifeforms in this solar system, the device would cease to function. I told them that the device was the only way to find the King, and they would never find the King without the help of the device. The Programs relented in their assault and made a truce, but an uneasy truce. As soon as the King was found, the Programs would destroy him and then destroy everybody and everypony else. Therefore, I prepared humanity for the inevitable war, and tried to gather individuals powerful enough to turn the tide of said war...

I've played D&D before. I enjoyed it a lot. Who knew sitting on the floor playing it for about 6 hours would be so fun ?
