So, is anyone planning to go to this convention? I know I am!

Did you know that they recently started taking con book submissions? That's right, get your artwork and writing and whatnot into the book!

From the News page on the site:

Last year, we got tons of fantastic artwork and stories for our conbook. Deciding which ones we used was an agonizing process, as there were just so many to choose from. We're pleased to announce we're now taking submissions for this year's conbook. Guidelines can be found at the link below. Please read them before submitting your work:

Conbook Submission Guidelines

Oh yeah, and two guests have been confirmed so far, with more to follow! Peter New and Andrew Francis!

Unfortunately I have no idea if MLPForums is doing any kind of meetup thingymajigger at the con, and IMO it'd be a shame to not meet any of my bestest internet fwends at the con... :\

So...are we doing any kind of MLPForums meetup? :S

Nah not really. I don't think it's worth the money to fly to whatever country it's it. And if I had more money I'd go to bronycon instead

It's certainly closer than BronyCon; a friend and I might be road-tripping it, but I doubt it. Neither of our financial lives are in good shape :/

I'm not sure where to post this so I stuck it here. I was wondering if anyone has ever been to Everfree NW or knows about it. It's in Seattle, WA because it's in driving distance and I could go possibly go there, but basically I was curious if it was worth the money and distance. Thanks guys!

@@Daniel40k,

Hello there. We already happened to have a topic discussing Everfree Northwest over here in the Sugarcube Corner subforum, so for convenience I have merged your topic with it.

I'd love to do too, since it's probably the closest convention to me geographically. I probably won't be able to, money and all. They've recently landed some pretty cool guests there though. A good amount of voice actors and writers. I can't remember exactly which, you might go over to Equestria Daily and look if you're interested. Hope you have a good time if you decide to go :)

Hey there! I went to Everfree Northwest last year, and I am once again staffing this year. I'd say if you can go, do it! And also register before June 15th, because pre-registration is closing and tickets will be more if you get them at the door. Have you been to any other cons before?

Or, you know, try checking the Everfree website itself. tongue.png

I've been to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, one of the most popular retro gaming expos in the US. I had a good time, but that was just playing and buying old games, whats gonna happen at Everfree NW?

Hello Daniel40k. My name is Tim, and like MyLittlePonyTales I'm a staff member for the Everfree Northwest convention. You can expect all sorts of great content during the convention. I'll go ahead and give you a run-down on some of the great events that are going on at the convetion and fill you in on some of our fantastic guests.

We came out with an announcement of our writing track and writing guests just yesterday, and before that we had both our gaming track events and guest announcement and our music events and guests. I'll provide links below to the announcements for you.

Music

Ponystock makes it's return with 20 new and returning musicians performing each convention night along with music panels.

Writing

Over a dozen writing panels, ranging from learning how to write character development and what it takes to hit FIMFiction's Feature Box to a hang-out session with great fanfic authors, as well as a special screening of the MLP Fan Fiction Documentary followed by a Q&A.

Gaming

Join in on the Crystal Games Challenge Game Jam and make a game that could be shown at Everfree Northwest, put on by the Gaming Colts. There is also several panels from multiple MLP:FiM game developers, such as Legends of Equestria, My Little Investigations, and My Little Pony: Roleplaying Is Magic

We also have a Vendor Hall with over 50 vendors you can find here. We're going to have great artists like Cosmic Unicorn, ChaoticBrony, Tsitra360, Jon Joseco, Hezza from WeLoveFine, curite Corral, GiantMosquito, MittyMandi, and so many other wonderfully talented individuals showing off tons of wonderful art.

We're also going to have another announcement coming up soon, so you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for it!

Not only are we have a lot of great stuff going on for music, games, writing, and art, but we're bringing in some fabulious show guests. In attendance with be Tabitha St. Germain, Michelle Creber, Peter New, Andrew Francis, Amy Keating Rogers, and Sibsy! You can view our guest page here: link

We're packed with tons of panels, including returning favorites like "Whose Line Is It Anypony" and "Dear Princess Celestia/Luna" among a whole host of others.

We also have several contests, such as the PMV contest (submissions close on the 16th of June) and the cosplay contest.

We're also the only convention that I know of to feature a 24-hour convention location, with a few areas such as the gaming room and the arts and crafts room staying open all day every day for the entirity of the convention.

If you want to learn more, I'd suggest visiting Everfree Northwest’s website. You can also check out our Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr.

If you do plan to go, remember that Pre-Registration ends tomorrow on the 15th so after that you can only get a badge at the door.

I hope that gives you a good idea of what's going on at the convention Daniel40k, and we hope to see you there!

Yes I am going. By the seat of my pants, and so help me I'm going to be working hard to get my credit card debt under control, but I am going! I have a room at the Clarion but it looks like I missed pre reg so I'll have to pay at the door. I'll be wearing a 'two-of-hearts' card on my shoulder so I should be pretty easy to spot. Anyone can come up and say hi. I'll hopefully be with a none brony friend of mine who wants to come.

Everfree Northwest's policies page says that you only need to be accompanied by a parent if you're under 13. So, you should be good to go!
