Guest February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 ^ I seriously don't get why people say that anyways... Rainbows are used to represent homosexuality occasionally, so people just kind of ran off with it. I think some of it is also from that Ms. Article that was published saying she seemed to fit the "lesbian" stereotype.
THE WILD HUNT 213 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 (edited) Hmm, so determination makes people gay now, as do rainbows (which in the Bible was created by God to show He'd never flood the world again). RagingTwilight 101 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 Although I have heard of people who would probably post articles like this, I'm leaning towards a troll. He just seems to be overdoing it, even by fundamentalist means. For a comparison, compare what this person is saying in their blog to this excerpt from the 1984 Documentary(?) "Deception of a Generation." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEfVN-TqK1Q&feature=related But like I said...people like this really exist. Anything and everything is a threat to them and their religion.

I watched the whole thing and... I don't want to believe these people are for real, but I honestly can't tell for certain with this one. Not only that but they brought up D&D at the end, that really rustled my jimmies. Hmm, so determination makes people gay now, as do rainbows (which in the Bible was created by God to show He'd never flood the world again). What the hell has the world come to? Well the rainbow isn't a negative symbol, although I do agree on the determination=gay thing being utterly stupid.
Tyroq 344 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 Kudos to the brony who looked at this picture and immediately asked, "Where's Twilight Sparkle?!" Twilight was missing? Huh... I was too busy staring at Rainbow Dash to notice.
hwrogers 168 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 like i said before, the blog in question is obvious trolling, only AFTER looking at some other articles (read the first couple paragraphs under "murder" had a chuckle.) what is posted in their article about FIM is easily believable to me as potentially the words that could be used by the religious fundies as an attack on the show, happened with spongebob (i hated SB btw, but can understand others enjoying it) when some extremist idiots said it was gay propaganda (or whatever they said, didn't follow it as i didn't care) and then the video posted here; Although I have heard of people who would probably post articles like this, I'm leaning towards a troll. He just seems to be overdoing it, even by fundamentalist means. For a comparison, compare what this person is saying in their blog to this excerpt from the 1984 Documentary(?) Anything and everything is a threat to them and their religion. that is exactly how these people think, (didn't watch much past "the littles" clip TBH) is to pick small pieces that when taken out of context become incriminating evidence. this trend is nothing at all new btw, even in the scope of human history, it's been happening with almost, if not, every religion since the earliest days of recorded history, maybe before. the site calling FIM satanic is blatant trolling, however in the article initially posted it is easily possible to believe that someone could take it as serious and support the message written, and not the message that is actually intended.
Demi 545 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 (edited) um.. i'm 12 years old and what is this? But for realz, if this is all true then that's insane, I always love how religious nuts make themselves sound even crazier trying to explain stuff like this. I remember way back when I was but a wee foal my friend's mom wouldn't let him read the Harry Potter books because they were "satanic". I thought we've come a ways since then. :s Edited February 10, 2012 by Demi
Envoy-in-exile 101 February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 like i said before, the blog in question is obvious trolling Agreed. But only because I have seen parody blogs in the past that go to such great lengths (there was also a kim jong il fanclub trollblog which many thought were real). The scary thing is that we often have to look at it under a microscope to differentiate whether its a hoax, or a real extremist rant.

StarSparkle23 3 May 6, 2013 Share May 6, 2013 (edited) I'm getting pretty sick of these people making a mockery of my faith and telling people that certain types of popular media is evil. Umbral Noir 1,556 May 7, 2013 Share May 7, 2013 It's hard to tell what this guy is! He seems to be serious though, so I'd say he's crazy! Just because the show does not make any reference to Christianity doesn't mean it's Satanic! Also, what on earth is he going on about Lauren Faust selling her soul to the Devil! Seriously?! No this guy seems to be crazy. It embarrasses me as a Christian to think someone would think this show is Satanic! Also, VeggieTales is brilliant! Just saying. FruitRiver 355 May 9, 2013 Share May 9, 2013 (edited) Lol, awesome video. I feel kinda sorry for the guy though, he sounds legitimately retarded... I really can't stand how people get so self-righteous and "indignant" with religion. They're fools, and personally, using religion as a personal weapon for their own motives is more disgusting than outright attacking it. These are fools who use religion as a cover for themselves, just like the crusaders did, just like lots of people do in terrorist organizations. Just as an excuse to raise hate. Heck, my response would be to fire Christianity back at them. What is the first and greatest rule in Christianity? There's Canon on that: "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Matthew 22:37-40 What does it mean to love God with everything? "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40 I mean, you may think that it may be indirect to love someone for someone else's sake, but Christ speaks directly as if he was the people that the "righteous" served. It even confuses them because Christ said they did things for him, which they actually did for others, not him. Love. That's what it's all about. Love God by loving others, and love others. I'm Mormon. When gays come protesting to our temples, we bring them cookies! I totally agree. How much is that going against christianity? They arent extremists, because they dont seem to follow christianity at all. This stuff is offensive. I hope nobody thinks all christians are like this, cause if they were I probably would of run away from it as soon as possible. Guest May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 Ugh ok, this has already been addressed, some people actually believe this nonsense, while other merely aggregate this stuff to troll others for the lulz, and the whole thing is really, really stupid so we should all stop paying attention to it. FNGRpony 658 December 13, 2013 Share December 13, 2013 Hey, ponies. This is a blog posting I found in which somepony runs off a whole list of religious complaints she has regarding FiM. After reading it, I'm simply too appalled to decide for myself, so I'll let everypony else decide! Is this blog posting the work of a Religious Nutjob, a Satirist, or a Parasprite? Here is the link to the posting I'm referring to: http://shelleytherepublican.com/2012/01/28/my-little-pony-friendship-is-satanic.aspx ahem, if mlp was satanic it would be darker LOL. Do i have to explain this person (with out looking) is using satan as a catch all for all things evil. as bronies it would be like if ponies called all things evil chaotic. The view point isn't that hard to understand i dumbed it down so anyone could figure it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

It's insanely easy to empathize with the vein point as apposed to rubber stamping it as "moronic." Or are we cherry picking "lover and tolerate as long as it's easy." the obvious miss conception come from someone who's to ruled by fear. Didn't think about the Wayback Machine. Went and checked for myself. It is honestly the FUNNIEST thing I've read about MLP, ever. "The show tells the story of six “ponies” and their various adventures. Anybody who has spent time working with livestock will confirm that these are unrealistic depictions of horses and ponies." Good job detective, the six animated characters with brightly colored coats and manes are unrealistic. "While ponies are certainly real animals, and unicorns definitly did exist, “Pegasus Ponies” appear to be a creature found only in ancient greek pagan religions." Oh, so normal ponies and UNICORNS are fair game, but pegasus are "false pagan hogwash", suuuuuure. 10/10, would logic again, "The show is socialist: Various ponies appear to practice trades, and yet they do not appear to charge for their services. There’s no money or entrepreneurship." Wait, wait, wait. Have you actually watched the show. They have gold based currency, Rarity owns her own boutique. THERES A CHARACTER NAMED FILTHY RICH ! But yeah, It is an utopic society, 10/10 would live there any day. These takes are soooooooo funny to me. I think, according to the person who wrote these gems of takes, this is the only accpetable My Little Pony show.
