Oppenheimer, finally. This didn’t feel like a 3 hour movie and I mean that in a good way. Very well paced, love how it jumped back and forth between time periods until everything comes full circle. Was also surprised at how grounded it was. There were some artistic liberties here and there but it largely seemed to be historically accurate. Great movie if you’re interested in The Manhattan Project, WW2, or nuclear history at all.

Rewatched a movie I saw in 2000, The Robin Hood Gang.  Kid in an apartment find money in the attic area figuring it was there before any current residents moved in and use it to help their neighbors.

YT has it up officially and free.

My viewings were wayback then from some Disney Channel airings, and aired it under the title Angels in the Attic.  Though the name is used once in the film.

Jumanji 1995

I hope it gets a proper sequel some time, no not the video game, that concept is trash

A sequel involving a better plot, with the board game, and a mage who wants to lift the curse on it to destroy it so it cannot harm anybody else, but in order to do so, the game must be played one last time, as the board game will be destructible right at the moment it says "Jumanji".

A Working Man (2025) Another Jasan Statham actioner. Pretty much the same template as all his recent movies…and not so recent ones. The badguys are the scum of the earth and all deserved what they got. Sometimes their badness was funny because it was so over the top. Anyway, diverting enough action junk. 6/10

Novocain (2025) More junk, but comical in its cruddiness. I can’t give it a glittering review cuz all modern films have to go through the Hollywood checklist to get released, and that’s the death of art, even low art. So it gets a qualified pass. 6/10

Electric State (2025) *Spoilers ahead* A fun idea for a movie, with a playful re-writing of history to show an alternate reality of what might have been if robots had come into being and been integrated into society generations ago. The plot was easy and the characters were likeable. The whole thing rolled along very nicely but it lost steam toward the end. Like most movies these days it got bogged down by way too much sentiment at the finale of the movie. When it was supposed to be building momentum it slowed down instead, and as a result, it disappointed. 5/10

Alice in Wonderland (1951). Not my favorite Disney animated film by a long shot, but I really enjoyed it this time, flaws and all. Nice animation and all-around fun. 7/10

Oblivion (2013). I always loved this movie because I have a thing for dystopian stories, and this one scores on all counts. It has originality and plenty of fun surprises. It did have a fairly pivotal and unnecessary plot discrepancy that could have been alleviated by a simple alternate take, but was overlooked. That didn’t help, considering the finale was based on it. But for all its other positives, I give this one an 8.5/10

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) Great movie from Disney’s golden age of live action. A strong cast makes this retelling of the story entertaining and captures a lot of that Disney magic, from the days when Disney actually had real magic. 8.5/10

Princess and the Frog (2009) This movie is a perfect example of why Disney should keep making 2D animated features. They art of animation here is so rich and full of character it really is a waste of a great art form to simply dismiss it for CG. There’s room for more than one art medium in this world and Disney should know that better than anyone. But alas, they’re dummies. 7/10

Dick Tracy, I got to say the fictional character Alphonse Caprice is scary, when you hear the words "You're dirty, you need a bath." you know he wants you gone, if you know what cement shoes are you'll know what I'm getting at.
