"You don't mind if we join you...do you Sunburst ?" She asked, looking at Nightfall. She smiled. "I do Aerial Silks...its like a contortion kinda thing." She explained. "I did it in the casino today...which was not my favorite place. To many drunk colts being immature and flirty." She said, adjusting her bag. "I ordered a meal to go to my room...but i'll just pack that up and have it for breakfast or something." She said, smiling.

 

He smiled at Sunburst, then back at Fire.

"OH, Aerial Silks... kinda like that thing that circus ponies do, when they hang from two... silk strips, I guess, and they do things and twist around?"

He chuckled slightly, wondering how the ponies did the Aerial Silk... he wanted to call them tricks...

"Sure, you can follow me; if you want. You want to go to the library?" Firecracker replied while blushing faintly. From reading the map, he could tell where the library is on the ship and after a couple of minutes, they got there. He also noticed Sunburst there which they agreed to meet.

"Yeah, I love libraries. The drive the librarian in Ponyville crazy because I'm always checking out her books," said Moonbeam with a small laugh and a blush. She didn't say much else, but she seemed pretty nervous. She wasn't quite sure why. He was just a stallion like any other, but something about him...was different.

Firecracker waved at Sunburst back as he went through the entrance of the library. He was also expecting Moonbeam a little bit to follow him through the door. "Hey there, anything new?" he asked as he approached the group that was at one of the tables.

Fire chuckled. "Yea, that's the one." She said, smiling then looking at Sunburst. "Well miss Sunburst...do you want to go eat some dinner together. Us three and" She looked over at the mare and the colt by the entrance to the library "will you two be joining us as well ?" She asked.

The stallion soon took notice when Firebolt had sat right next to him. "Same here." He said to the bartender. "Sorry about before. I kinda get a little angry when I hear the rich being mentioned." He said apologizing to the mare though it really wasn't said in an apologetic tone.  "So, looks like your date's going well." The stallion said jokingly.

"Thank you. " The mare said to the bartender. Then sipped her cider, ignoring what the stallion had to say for quite a while. Eventually, she spoke up. "Eh. Don't worry about it." Firebolt said. "And... calling something like that a date is a jest, surely?" Firebolt had begun to fade a bit again. Her words being quieter, and her not being sure of them.

Windy gritted his teeth silently in frustration as Bolt left to go socialize with the weirdo from before. "Grrr... I can't tell her that her talking to him bothers me like no other without coming on too strong AND driving Scamps away... Not like I have anything to worry about, that dude is seriously cracked! Like, he bolted at the mention of the word 'rich'! What's up with that? I mean, he should be more gracious, we're all on an amazing cruise ship about to have the time of our lives, and he's complaining about rich ponies on the ship? Weird... Whatever though, I just hope Bolt doesn't chat with him too long."

 

Turning his attention back to Scamps as she asked if the disabled stallion could sit with them, he frowned. "I dunno Scamps... I mean, you can go ahead and invite him over, but I'll feel kind of awkward, you know? I don't know what to say to him or how to treat him! I've never dealt with cripples before. But if you want to, totally your call, don't let me make your decision for you. I'll just stay quiet so as to not say anything rude or tactless."

 

"On the bright side, she obviously isn't into him like she is into me, so I don't have anything to worry about from that front. I'll just keep playing it safe and keeping both options open... Yeah, that's a good phrase for it, keeping my options open..."

The stallion soon grabbed his mug and slammed it down quickly. He already had a pyramid of mugs beginning to stack on the counter. "Eeyup and don't call me Shirly." He said before laughing a little at his own joke. "Another one please." He requested to the bartender. "Anywho, you just getting some fresh air?" Dogboots asked the mare.

Nightraxx teary eyes looked up at her. "You....don't have to apologize..." he said a little shaky

 

"I am...seeing you must have experienced something very horrible to be afraid of others this much.... " he said. "I don't know you for very long yet and what happened to you, but i can feel your despair"

 

"But please, i would never do anything bad to you..."   he said in a sad, but very gentle tone. "ecspecially not because you are like her...." he added almost inaudible.

 

Sorrow had just kept looking at Nightraxx, just staring at him... What in the heck did he mean by experiencing something very horrible? She was always like this... Even when she was born... She had simply slipped back under the covers, not shaking or anything, but just extremely silent.

The rudeness of this stallion was getting to her Being polite definitely was not her specialty, but Firebolt certainly expected... something. Of course, it would be best if she looked like she was enjoying herself. "I might go back soon, actually." She decided.

He immediately took the book and then looked at the index. "Aw yeah, it includes the Amythest Grape in this!" He then turned the page to the specified page number and skimmed it over quickly.

Moonbeam followed Firecracker inside to the group of ponies. She looked around nervously, but she reminded herself to be friendly. "H-hello, everypony. My name is M-Moonbeam...W-what are your names?"

The stallion shrugged. "Fine by me." He replied to the mare before his 7th cider had arrived. He grabbed it and drank a large portion before setting it down on the counter. Dogboots could tell that he was about to belch but he held it in. The stallion knew it would be rude behavior and it would take a few more ciders before he was even tipsy. "Anyways, i'm no psychic but I'm getting a feeling that your acquaintance has been staring me down for quite a while. Any idea what's with him?" He said asking about Windy Runner.

Dogboots nearly busted out laughing at her response. "What he thinks I'm going to take you away from him?" He said chuckling about it. "Besides, I wouldn't have a shot at you. Your beyond my league. Anyways, do whatever you want. Stay here or go back. It makes no difference to me." Dogboots said plainly to Firebolt before slamming down the rest of his cider. The stallion knew he wouldn't have a shot at Firebolt and in the incredibly slim shot that he did, it wouldn't last long.

Firecracker didn't defiantly want to look greedy in front of everypony, since this Amethyst Grape is the 9th most valuable thing in the world. He then covered the page up. "Uhhh... It's nothing Moonbeam, honestly..." he tried to tell Moonbeam when she came up to him. A hint of sweat then came down his head, with his pupils shrinking the closer she got.

"I don't know about your life, but i can see your are very sad...."  he said. "I know you probably don't trust me yet and that is okay, but please believe me when i say i would never want to do anything bad to you and i really want to help you. "

 

He prayed on the inside that she wasn't going to be more upset and sad.

"Yeah, I suppose we can all go." Sunburst's voice was still rather more diminutive and less forceful than it had been before, but less so than when she had been isolated with the other reading pony. She stood up, and moved to slide A History of Magic back onto the shelf where it had been.

After finishing his cider the stallion pulled out a small bag of bits and dropped it on the counter. Dogboots had already wasted a good chunk of money on drinks alone that evening. He got up and decided to wander around the ship a little bit more. After what seemed like going through a maze of hallways the stallion soon arrived at a library. He shrugged and entered the quiet room. Dogboots had already taken notice of a group of ponies that were already in the room. He recognized Moonbeam and one of the other ponies. Though he could tell that they looked busy and soon decided to try and scavenge for a somewhat interesting novel to read.

"Oh, hey again Bolt!" "That was a quick visit with Mr. Drunkard over there... Not that I'm shocked..." "Yeah, we haven't gotten food yet. Scamps wants to invite a friend of hers over to our table to talk before we eat I think." Windy said, inclining his head at the pegasus sitting at the adjacent table. "Hey, how about you and I go get some food now Bolt, since if I don't eat something soon, I'll pass out! Damn my athlete metabolism... Scamps, go right ahead and invite your bud over, I'm gonna go get some food from the buffet, I'll be back soon. Bolt, you want to come with me?"

He looked at her sadly, "I understand..." he said.

 

Nightraxx didn't want to leave Sorrow in this state, but what he wanted even less was to make her upset and afraid of him even more.

 

"i...i..." he began to utter. "I apologize if i bothered you..."

 

His wet eyes closed and opened again, "I...i leave now...." Nightraxx said softly and turned around to leave. He opened the door "I hope she doesn't hate me...." he thought and went out silently. He was now standing in the hallway again.

But it was better then being sarcastic and such when it came to something like this. She could act like her usual self when she had won this, anyway.

"Yikes!" he thought has Sunburst also tried to look what he was reading. "Screw it, I don't want to make this situation any worse..." He then moved out of Moonbeam's way. "Fine, both of you can look at it. I was only hiding it because I thought you'd think I'd be greedy by going after the treasure..." Firecracker said shamefully.
