After finishing the meager meal the stallion had heard hooves dragging across the floor outside of the broom closet. Dogboots poked his head out and saw three ponies. Two of which were dragging another one somewhere. "If you don't mind me asking. What's going on here?" He asked towards the group.

@,

"Nopony is here yet? Sweet! More food for me!" Windy enthused, who already had his eye on a very enticing all-you-can-eat-buffet nearby. Turning back to Bolt, Windy asked politely, "But would you rather find a table and get settled before we get food? There seems to be a nice table over there," he said, nodding his head to a table near enough to the buffet table to allow for easy access should Windy want seconds, or thirds, or fourths... but also far enough away that it would be fairly quiet and not in the middle of what would inevitably be a large stream of ponies heading for the food table soon enough.

@@Glaceon,

Frost's ears drooped. Oh boy, he was afraid of that. In an attempt to turn the conversation in another direction, he cleared his throat. "Oh, you're an author? I...had no idea. What kinds of things do you write about?" To be fair, he hadn't thought about the story aspect of his songs, only that they portrayed some kind of moral. He could smell...something as they neared the end of the hallway. It seemed as though they weren't far off from their destination. Okay, new plan: don't annoy her.

"I write historical novels. So far, I've got books out about the Almavorids and Daleks and Snorkacks and stuff." Moonstruck's hostility seemed to have somewhat abated, but not entirely gone. In any case, her tone was vaguely friendly again.

Fire blushed slightly but cleared her throat and just ignored it. "Really ? I have never touched it...ever...as in all I do is shower and I brush, but I heard most mares do all sorts of stuff to their mane. Straightening...curling. I just don't have the time...well, I do...but I don't bother." She said, chuckling. "My brother's mane is just like it...sorda..."

Sunburst smiled as they trotted along. "It doesn't need to be well groomed to have a friendly aura. My sister's, for example..." Her voice trailed away as she again became preoccupied as to where her sister might be.

Firebolt said nothing for quite a while. Her attention was focused on nothing specifically. Except for how tired she was. At some point, though it was unsure how long, the mare snapped back to the current. "Uh. Sure." She said, quietly, then walked slowly towards the table.

After a couple of minutes, Firecracker had finally found the dining room, where a couple of ponies were already dining. Firecracker attempted to find a table for himself. One group he saw at a table included that same pony he saw trying to get through the crowded halls. And she looked like she was starting to cry. There were two ponies there, so it didn't really matter to him. He never wanted to get involved in drama unless drama involved him. There was a fourth pony who was asking what was going on.

"Oh, Sorrow here hurt her noise so we're bringing her to the infirmary. Um, don't get too close. She's really shy around other ponies. She doesn't even talk. Oh there it is! See, Sorrow, there's the infirmary. Why don't you go see the doctor? We'll wait here. So, what is you name?" she asked this inquiring stranger.

Fire raised an eyebrow. "What about your sister's ?" She said, frowning slightly. "You okay there ?" She asked, trotting a little closer to Sunburst. *I Hope we get there soon. I'm bucking hungry.* She thought. As if on cue her stomach gave off a loud growl, making Fire blush slightly. "I'm...kinda hungry."

"Dogboots and I apologize if I seem like i'm being a bit intrusive but from the look on her face and the dragging of the hooves. It seems like she doesn't really want to go. I can understand why you two would bring her to the infirmary as from what I can tell she looks like she needs a bit of medical attention but nothing some ice and painkillers can't fix." He stated to the group of ponies.

@,

As the two ponies walked towards the table, the rusty cogs and gears in Windy's somewhat dense skull were struggling to turn and process some nonverbal signs he had been picking up.

"Huh, I may be clueless and miss some cues and signals, but even to me it seems like Bolt is... off. Is she tired? Hungry? Just overwhelmed by the new locale? Weird... Whatever the cause, that's worrisome."

As Bolt was ambling towards the table Windy had suggested, Windy looked at her and softly said,

"Bolt, I may not know you very well, but I get the feeling that you're not feeling 100% right now. Did doing that fantastic magic you just showed me take a lot out of you? If you're feeling weak, you can just sit at the table, and tell me what you want, I'll go get it for you so you don't have to get up. Do you want that?" he finished speaking as they arrived at the table and he pulled a chair out for her to sit down.

Sorrow did as instructed and trotted inside the infirmary, but instead of going to see the doctor right away, she locked herself inside the medicinal closet, putting herself in the back of the area, in a no longer vacant corner. There was tons of boxes, and she stacked them around her, so she wouldn't be seen.

"That's right, she had hurt herslef pretty badly, so we are trying to help her, but she really is shy and seems terrified by even being around anypony." Nightraxx said and reached Dogboots his hoof. He noticed Dogboots seemed kinda different than most of the other ponies around, not so much....snobbish fancy.

"i hope she is gonna be fine in there."

Firebolt said nothing for a bit again. The words Windy said weren't registered correctly. She only heard the last few. "Uh. No. That's fine." She said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. Of course, that wasn't very. Firebolt sat down quickly, then looked at the door to see if other ponies would come in.

"Yeah. It's cool. I mean, what was I gonna do, just sit there and watch you squirm?" She smiled, trying to show it was a joke. "Well, I'm heading off to dinner. I guess I'll see you around."

Unless I find a colt that's more...my type.

She flew down a few flights of stairs, until she reached the dining hall. She walked in, an dsaw only a couple of ponies there. Great. Just realized, I know none of them.

She grabbed her food, and sat down at the nearest table, which cotained a brown pegasus colt and a mare.

Now THAT is more of a colt that's my type. He's definetly a tad hot, and atheletic, judging by his build. Okay, just don' t be awkward, don't be awkward...

"Hi," she said to the colt. "Sorry, I don't know a lot of ponies here, so I sat down at a random table...which was yours. I'm Windy Scamper, but I'll respond to any shortened verision of that."

Two words. Blew. It.

Fire laughed. "I suppose you have a point there. How about Nighty ?" She grinned and glanced off the back of the ship into the water. "Nah, i'm just messing around. So where ya from Nightfall ?" She asked, taking her eyes away from the water to look at Nightfall.

He laughed again.

"Canterlot. I was born there, raised there, and live there. I've been to other places, but I've never lived elsewhere; I never really though about moving, so I don't."

He glanced at Fire, then back at the water.

"And you, Fire? Where do you hail from?"

"Well, as for me, i just finished my musical Tour through Baltimare before i heard about this cruiser's maiden voyage here, which was praised to be the biggest and most luxurious cruiser in Equestria. So i thought it couldn't hurt to try it out." Nightraxx said.

He started to think about something "Well, i also heard that you'll find your special somepony here." he kinda blushed lighty, a little embarrased.

"And i already seemed to have found some new friends already, so it already was kinda worth it."

And he was alone again.

Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing after all. His first impression had been anything but good... At least she hadn't asked him about the wheelchair, more or less.

This cruise was going to be perfect, the kind of cruise of which he'd dreamed since he was small. Definitely.

For a while he wasn't really sure if he should attend dinner or just get himself something to eat in his room. His mood was quite bad, and actually he wasn't even hungry. The only reason for him to go there was to not be alone.

And to meet her again, of course.

Rally, brain, if you don't shut up immediately, I'll...

You'll what?

I do have something in mind already.

Eventually he followed the path that lead him to the restaurant where dinner was served. A lot of ponies had entered the room already, but still one pony drew his attention to herself again. For a moment he thought about sitting next to her as there still was a free seat (as if he needed one actually), but he just was too afraid he could get into an awkward situation again. Instead he took a place at a table near hers, then a place a few meters away, then a place a little closer again...

Firecracker ultimately decided to try to conversate with the group; walking over to the table where they were. "Am I'm not interrupting here? If not, can I join in the conversation?" he asked. Firecracker can be a little shy sometimes when approaching a group but other than that, he's fine.

@@@Windy Scamper,

Although he wasn't showing it, either due to trying to be subtle or simply lacking the emotional depth to effectively convey his concern, Windy was getting worried about Bolt, who was less and less responsive to his worried questions.

"She doesn't sound happy AT ALL. What in Celestia's name did I DO?? Did I say something wrong or rude? Think Windy, think! Well, I got nothing. Thanks for nothing brain. Hey Windy, I'm a simple brain, not a miracle worker! I'll never understand the nuances and intrinsic parts of the mare mind, and neither will you. What you need to do is stop falling for the distant ones who are impossible to fathom. Find a simple, easy to get kind of gal, and I'll spend less time hurting myself trying to figure stuff out, and you'll spend less time wearing that stupid clueless look you're rocking right now..."

Deciding that Bolt needed a bit of quiet time to not have to endure more of his abrasive motor-mouthing, Windy breathed a silent prayer to the Princesses above when a Green Pegasus sat down at their table and introduced herself. That is, his relief lasted until he recognized her; he had seen her when boarding the ship and gotten a 'bad vibe' from her. However, his brain argued, since she had very politely introduced herself to him, she couldn't be as bad as his brain was trying to get him to think. It wasn't exactly like his brain had a great track record as a judge of character and quality of a pony... After another quick mental argument, Windy turned his full attention to the Pegaus and smiled broadly.

"Alright, well in that case, I'm gonna call you Scamps! And feel free to sit here, happiness loves company! I'm Windy Runner, and this here is Firebolt. Did you just get on the boat too?"

Fire smiled as they turned the corner to the dining room. "Thank you very much Sunburst...you're a really nice mare. I guess i'll see you around the ship sometime. Sunburst nodded, smiling kindly in return. "I'll try and catch your show, then." She said, as the mare trotted away. Tutting to herself, she turned, and began to trot back the way they had came back to the library.

Sunburst was both impressed and disappointed by the library on deck. It was larger than she would have expected to find on a ship, but none of the books lived up to her standards, and it was rather musty. She trotted up and down the aisles of shelves, just scanning the covers of the books contentedly.
