Hypn0ticD 1,213 March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 I'm often on my phone 95% of the time in public, and much of that time, I'm either on this site or Derpiboru, browsing the forums or looking at pictures. I'm usually very careful, but I've had a fair few close calls when I forget to change the tabs on my mobile browser... 1 Hypn0's Art Dump! Check it out sometime! Mr Dash 1,820 March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 Surprisingly I haven't had any embarrassing brony moments. Yet. Though I really couldn't care less what other people think. And even though I don't care, the introvert in me tries to make me feel embarrassed and care what others think. 1 Like, don't underestimate my power man. Shou 100 March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 I would not call it embarrassing but I find my self tossing around mlp references at work a lot now lol 1 "Silly shrine maiden, your two-colored powers are a mere twenty-eight-point-five-seven-one-four percent as powerful as mine!" Idris 241 March 24, 2015 Share March 24, 2015 I think I'll do some of that. Working in the heat exchanger industry 20% cooler definitely needs more exposure ! This thread has been a cracking read, and I laughed my ass of at some of them. Thankyou for posting, I feel much brighter for it I've got nothing though? I guess I have had a permanent reputation for sitting and watching anything cartoon at any point in my life? I've even sat there and watched bottle top bill. I have no shame when it comes to animation. Well, I say no shame, I don't think I'll be putting up Beyond Equestria posters at work. If I get in a fan-fix I'll be sure to post 1 Team Idris Channel (mlp short stories) - https://m.youtube.com/user/teamidris

Baltimarean 17 March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 I decided to buy Season 1 on DVD from Amazon.com. But I didn't have an account or a card, so I had my mom buy it for me and paid her back for it. I was feeling somewhat brave, and I kinda hoped she'd notice, and I kinda hoped she wouldn't. Earlier, she'd come across an article online about bronies, and she was laughing out loud at it, and I told her how big it was on the Internet, but I hadn't revealed I was part of it. So as she was buying it, she saw the product description, and I'm like, me: "It's... some... kids' cartoon. ... Yeah, it probably seems a bit... uh..." mom: (grinning) "It is." I was going to say "weird" or "strange" or something like that; I'm not sure what she thought I meant. So she pretty much knows I like it and she's cool with it, though she thinks it's hilarious. For Valentine's Day she got me a present, smiling mischievously, and said "You'll like it." Inside the bag was a Rainbow Dash toy. And if she ever finds out that I'm going to a brony convention, she'll probably laugh her head off.
Soaring Symphony 372 March 29, 2015 Share March 29, 2015 I'm actually still in the middle of high school. One afternoon, my older brother invited a friend over to my house and they were chatting in the kitchen. The guy made a passing comment about Bronies (I don't remember what it was) and that prompted me to mention that I was a Brony. After I did, he flat out said and I quote "never talk to me ever again." I spent the next ten minutes or so trying and failing to convince him that MLP is more then just a little girls show and that it's actually really awesome. Admittedly, I think I could have handled that a lot better.
Complexity 181 March 29, 2015 Share March 29, 2015 I'm a huge closet brony, and prefer to tell my friends about my brony-ness via internet. SunflowerPrincess 345 March 29, 2015 Share March 29, 2015 So, about one or two months ago, this psychologist came in my class to tell us about dependences (you know, the usual 'don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs' kind of thing), but first, he made a talking about what defines adolescence. At one point, he said that the shows that best described adolescence are The Simpsons and The Amazing World of Gumball, and I commented "Of course, and why not My Little Pony too?" Not sure if this can be called a brony moment, but it certainly was embarassing when everyone heard me and stared at me. (And remembering just later that MLP is a kid show)
Confucius 194 March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 I was at a restaurant with family friends today and the son who is 18 years old pointed at my Discord shirt and said "I think I've seen that thing before, why does it have an odd head? I swear I've seen it on a show." Thankfully he couldn't remember and didn't look at my phone wallpaper either. :/
TheJLeeTeam 914 March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 In the summer I was playing in the MLP CCG tournament while there were also Pokémon and Magic tournaments going in the same store and it was really weird. Also I was at Build A Bear and got a Cadance plush and I felt weird that I was a 17 year old boy getting a princess pony plush. 4 My blog post on Starting Fresh with MLP:FiM: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2076/entry-16988-im-starting-fresh-with-mlp-fim/
PositiveBrony 6 April 1, 2015 Share April 1, 2015 Another moment is when my mom (who has not found out that I am a brony yet ) Had bought a Lyra toy form target and thought she would slip it buy me unnoticed in checkout. When I got home I looking through the easter stuff and found it in the bag she was going to give me. I felt so embarrassed. And NO this is not an April fools joke.
Grepper 3,192 April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 None of my family knows that I am a brony, much less what a brony is. -- As a prank, I set a timer and hid it under some laundry my brother was folding. After it went off he kindly put the timer away for me, or so I thought. To get back at me, he hid it in my room in a similar way. He scared the crap out of me by setting it up on my bed next to my two MLP blind bags! I have a bunk bed (with only a top bunk,) so I thought that putting them aside the mattress in the store-supplied plastic bag would be a good hiding place, because who goes on my bed? My brother, apparently. I really hope that he didn't take a chance to look inside the bag. That could be embarrassing.
Tom Snyder 4,112 April 8, 2015 Share April 8, 2015 I have another one, but not exactly a fond memory. You know how our parents try and make us happy? Well, lets just say mine went out with a bang, so to speak. So this last month was my 29th b-day, and my mother knew how much i loved MLP. So when my friends were over, she brought out the cake; and guess what's on it? My mother had asked for a custom cake and had my two oc's on it. Candy Star and Lightning Flicker. My friends saw it and jaws dropped, literally. I was sinking so far into the couch at this and thought my life is over, they're gonna hate me. But it turns out they don't hate on bronies at all, but simply try to embarrass them in the worst way possible. While at the school the next day, they had news announcement duty and broadcast it over the P.A system. I was screwed beyond belief, and everyone laughed; but two bronies like myself came to my rescue. It was shameful having to rely on them to do it for me. 7 //// My persona and OC: Candy Star //// Ask me anything: Ask Candy Star //// My Music //// //// My DA: (OC requests available) ////

Holiday Agnaktor 1,436 April 29, 2015 Share April 29, 2015 Not that long ago, a friend of mine pointed at my Vinyl Scratch shirt, and asked me what that was. I told him that that was Vinyl. He said: "Oh ohke, I thought it was a My Little Pony for a second." Me: "It is." alpinefroggy 451 May 8, 2015 Share May 8, 2015 At an event and my mom wants to take pictures and wants to take pictures but has no room on her phone. I unlock mine and give it to her. She knows I am a brony but wasn't expecting the maelstrom of ponies that is my camera roll. Vectors, fan art, ocs you name it I have it on my phone not to mention twilight sparkle staring at you in the face as my background. Needless to say I felt embarrassed as she gave a little chuckle as to what she saw.
ukxRainbowdash 165 May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 Another one happened to me last Thursday. We were there for our last day of school before study leave, our RE teacher put on an educational video which she had never watched before and that she just found on YouTube that lesson (just tried to find it but failed) but it started with random photos about pain and suffering and "awoken" by Glaze/WoodenToaster (Brony musician) starts playing on the video. The video is completely unrelated to mlp so I begin singing along to the song because I know every word and then the embarrassing thing happens, the video becomes very MLP orientated with tons of photos of Pinkie Pie, at this point I'm still singing the song because the song doesn't have anything to do with mlp. The video then says "Awoken - The Wooden Toaster. A My Little Pony Song", my eyes widen as I think "everybody just heard me sing the entire song......,, they know I'm a Brony" 8 "One of the greatest mental freedoms is not caring what others think of you." Tapfire 92 May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 Alright then. So, my friends didn't really know about me being a brony until we were playing 'Heads Up' and it said Zebra. Knowing the guy playing was a brony, I bluntly said "Zecora." and since my brony friend blethers on all the time about the show all of my friends immediately knew. Well, there goes closet brony me. Golden Triangle 75 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 It had nothing to do with MLP but when I was still making cast videos for parody movies I was working on one in class and a classmate pointed out the animated characters on my slideshow for a MLP parody. So embarresing I started crying, which is even more embaressing.

RivkaBobble 110 May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 Well, one of my friends who knows I watch Mlp wanted to tell one her friends who's more of an acquaintance to me. I tell her fine and when she tells this acquaintance starts blurting out the beginning to the theme song (up to "I used to wonder...) for the whole class to hear. After that came one of my classmates repeating this over and over: "Wanna visit MY house? It's kind of LITTLE, but we do have a PONY." And a lot of the beginning of the theme song in my ear. 2 Mail carrier Derpy is best pony But Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie are cool too
