As far as I'm aware, the best info we have on this is a 3000+ survey conducted by Know Your Meme (only general Brony survey that asked about clop). The most recent report they published showed this:

The only difference is that Tosh, is doing it for shock value, not to mention that he is a complete idiot. I for one don't clop, but I find the pictures very attractive. I can see why some people would not like it though.
