Bronies and Intolerance

I try to ignore people when they do intolerant and just generally stupid things. I do completely agree about what you have said, though.

 

Although, I humbly believe that there is no problem that Aphrodisiacs cannot solve.

I can certainly agree that many people overreacted to both the Twilicorn and the EQG things, but it's just a thing people do when they see a change they don't agree with. I wouldn't go and blame the entire fandom however, it's just the loud people in the community and doesn't really represent what the rest of us are feeling.

 

People are opinionated and like to let others know about their opinions and sometimes that means shouting it out. When it comes to intolerance you have to be willing to respect all opinions, regardless of whether you agree with them or not. If somebody has a concern as to the quality of EQG or how Twilight will be presented next season then they are well within their right to do say what they like.

To me it just seems like you're just shouting back at them rather than just leaving them be.

As for the clopping thing, meh you expect people to keep quiet about that ? xD

I mean rely, when did we decide that calling out something we find to be bullshit is intolerance? 

How come if we don't agree with someones opinion because we have our own, were Intolerant?

 

I don't like MMC, it is in fact my least favorite episode of MLP, yet I can't say this with out someone calling me a Twilicorn hater or saying I'm not being tolerant. Without even listing to the reason why I don't like that episode. (because It has a rely big ass plot hole that broke my mind and I had to come up with a theory that the whole episode may have been in Twilights head @_@)  

 

Can we just stop getting pissy at other peoples thought and opinion and then cower behind "Love and Tolerance" and instead accept that somepony has a negative or an opposing opinion to you and respect their right to voice it, because they should let you do the same without resorting to using "Love and Tolerance" in such a petty manner.

If you were tolerant enough, you'd tolerate the "haters" of both those things. If you dont like what they say or do, and you want to make yourself seem the bigger person by doing that "loving and tolerating" bullcrap, then you show them how you can tolerate them, and that you chose not to be bothered by this.

 

I hated Season 3 over all, Twilicorn was horribly brought up, the characters became horrible when they dont get the same amount of attention through out a season. That's my opinion, i have none of EqG yet.

I have to disagree with this, I don't think we should tolerate haters because they are hating us for no good reason. We're not harming them in any way, yet they berate us constantly. What sense does it make to tolerate that?

This topic isn't about haters of bronies. This topic is about people who don't like Alicorn Twilight or Equestria Girls, and also R34. Many of these (not a fan of Twilicorn or EQG myself) are actually being not abrasive or dramatic over the issues whatsoever, and don't particularly appreciate being treated as if they're automatically infantile and pathetic disgraces to the fandom for holding opinions that aren't popular. I think that ripping on people who disagree with you is far more intolerant than simply not liking something. But maybe that's just me. Many people are being far too dramatic over these things (anyone who sent death threats to anybody, for instance, is a disgrace to the fandom) but many calm and rational people are being caught in the crossfire.

The true meaning of tolerance would be to respect those with different opinions. A fan who isn't a fan of Alicorn Twilight or has concerns about Equestria Girls is no less of a fan than someone who wholeheartedly embraces both.

 

True ,but when some "fans" start sending death threats to the DHX team and Hasbro because of their opinions on how they are doing certain things I think that's pretty bad. Of course that's the minority but still.

 

I embrace Twilicorn and am a bit on the dissapointed side with Equestria Girls myself doesn't mean I'm super angry about it.

This annoys me, what you said, the very so famous "Love and Toleration" motto bronies claim to go by is supposed to apply to everything. Seriously, the first Love and Toleration memes said "We'll love and tolerate the shit out of you" applying to the haters.

 

For some reason, the bronies who claim to follow this, instead say "Love and Tolerate, only the things you chose"

 

I dont give a crap about Love and Toleration, but those who preach it should at least follow it correctly.
