I've heard some of their songs. I think the song that I found most memorable from them was "Swing Life Away." Pretty nice song I must say

I suppose you're right. It's probably kind of...inconsiderate...so to say for me to say that. I haven't heard "a lot" of the new metal bands but I have heard quite a few...I guess I really will just have to dig deeper lol

Which "new" bands did you listen to?

 

That's a bit of a stretch to say seeming towards how there's 1000's and 1000's of bands out there today, so you just have to dig deeper, you'll find some eventually.

There's much more metal today than there was in the 80's. Much more bands, more subgneres, more everything.

Since you like Rise Against, you should stick to the more Hardcore based Metal bands out there such as Norma Jean and possibly The Dillinger Escape Plan or Converge, though both of those bands might take some time for them to grow onto you.

Out of all the Norma Jean albums I'd recommend Redeemer, it's their easiest album to get into.
