I've never been a big online gamer I started out with Doom Deathmatch Doom Deathmatch was basicly a one on one fragfest I got into it for a month and I enjoyed playing Doom 2 with random people from my school until I realised I was basicaly doing the same thing over and over again with that realisation I went back to playing Grandia on my PSone this has been a rince and repeat cycle a new online game would come out I would play it for a month or so and go back to playing a single player game when I realise that I'm basically doing the same thing over and over again.

Gen 5 Pokemon are just awful. Nintendo screwed up big time with them, and it looks like a five year old designed them.

Their physical designs are fine, I feel it's the colors used that are crappy.

I agree the PC is the best system, but it's also the least user friendly.

It doesn't make consoles bad though (not saying you said that just adding my opinion) because the Wii, the 360 and the PS3 all have great unique games.

Black Ops I sucked, the new pokemon are total BS. Originality seems to be...well completely gone. And I hate that sniping in CoD are insta kills...asopposed to real sniping where you have to factor in air and bullet travel time

Sonic The Hedgehog(2006) was not a bad game, and had Elise been omited from the game it might have been a lot better. It's a spiritual successor to the Sonic Adventure series in a way. Even if it was unfinished, it was still an excellent game.

The best games IMO are the Ratchet & Clank series save for All 4 One

 

Those games had A LOT of creativity with the weaponry & most of the level design was impeccable

 

not to mention the BGM was rather fantastic as well :3

That was the worst IMO

 

The load screens were pretty bad, I agree. And it was incredibly glitchy. If you can overlook those problems, however, it's actually a very enjoyable experience.

Angry birds is terrible, Skyrim is overrated, Xbox 360 sucks, pong was not the first video game, Call of duty sucks, Time splitters needs a 4th game.

The only part of the game I found rather unplayable were Sonic's speed stages, where he's running at insanely high speeds and you have little to NO CONTROL over him.

Resident Evil is a series that has gone way, way, way downhill. It was series built around the theme of fear. Resident Evil 6 looks more like the movies than the past games. Here's a thought Capcom, how about you go back to the original style of gameplay...that was you know kind of tense. With limited resources and careful ammo usage? Now it's all "OH GOD NEMESIS, BETTER USE AN RPG THAT I CAN FIND LIKE 50 TIMES".

 

Need For Speed: Most Wanted is a waste of time...the original was tuning Japanese imports AND then getting chased by cops. This new NFS might as well be called NFS: Hot Pursuit in the City.

 

How about we add late tackles in the next NFL Blitz shall we?

 

If I was a developer making an FPS, I would go more towards the Doom route and have it based on shooting monsters, demons, or other creatures. Ever since Call of Duty 4, 95% (not a tested fact) of FPS in the industry have tried to emulate it and have seriously lacked in the innovative area. Titles like Bulletstorm, Doom 3, and Borderlands are what FPS should be. If you're gonna have a military FPS, you better make sure you have some other good gimmicks to offer the player.

 

This may sound a bit on the rant side, but I think these would be pretty controversial.

All Final Fantasy games are boring, as are most JRPGs like them, including Chrono Trigger. Also Half Life 2 is better than every single big shooter of this generation, except Bulletstorm, maybe. I dunno,I haven't played it yet.

I think they are meant to appeal to the newer generations of players because the art style in other media has changed so much

 

But from a Hoenn trainers perspective gen 5 pokemon are all failed abortions

Angry Birds is fun for being bored, but it still sucks as a whole.

 

Now to my controversy! Behold:

 

 

1) I have played from Blue to White in Pokemon and have loved every game, but I do believe Ruby/Sapphire was the greatest (handheld) game generation with the Pokemon, region, and story. Pokemon Stadium 2 was the greatest Pokemon game and needs to be repeated with the current generation.

2) Glover for the N64 was the greatest game from the 20th century. Portal 2 was the best of the 21st.

3) Zelda games are okay for the most part, but need to be a bit more open-ended.

4) I really love all the Halo games and the storyline, but I think Halo 2 was the best in terms of multiplayer maps and storyline.

5) Super Mario Sunshine was the greatest Mario game. Mario Galaxy 2 was fifty times worse than the first.

6) Although I cannot stand anything to do with Sony, I do think that Jak&Daxter as well as Ratchet&Clank were good games.

7) The greatest FPS of all time is Brink. Though I would say it is tied with Time Splitters: Future Perfect.

8) Fallout 3 and New Vegas were truly epic games, but if a sequel is made, I wish it would take place in China. (Less games should be based in America)

9) More Donkey Kong games should be made in the style of DK64. Jungle Beat and likewise are ugly.

10) Assassin's Creed is a wonderful game and I am looking forward to the (presumed) conclusion in #3.

11) Zombie games aren't very appealing these days.

12) The greatest game of all time would be an RPG based in the Wheel of Time world, but not following any specific storyline based off of the books. Just a massive game in that universe playing as a man or woman who can channel.

13) Call of Duty games are *meh*. They are decent if you want to play an actiony game with your friends, but not much other use for them. (Except Black Ops. ZOMBIES!!!)

14) Soul Caliber is the greatest fighting game series.

15) GTA needs a more advanced storyline.

Skyrim gets boring after while, lacks original dungeons (okay maybe except few) and annoys me with player's lack of power over the story. You're given different ways to reply to a dialogue, yet it rarely changes anything about story.

I actually got glitched in Skyrim. I was doing Skuldafn and was unable to solve puzzles, fight the Dragon Priest and get his Mask. I also didn't have a backup save. All that time...

Call of Duty somehow got even worse ever since CoD 4. I could understand why people liked CoD 4, I do not understand why people still waste their time with that series.

 

Dragon Age is a boring fantasy game.

 

Borderlands is awful.

 

F.E.A.R. 2 was the best of the series.

 

Any game that was made after Silent Hill 4: The Room should never have existed in the first place. Nothing can beat Silent Hill 2.

 

Dead Space is no longer a horror game. It's an action game with disfigured zombies.
