So this is my Pumpkin that I carved. It was supposed to be Applejack. I messed up a bit but I thought I would share. Tell, me what you think.

Thats quite good, is it finished, because it looks unfinished, but I don't know I have never carved a pumpkin before.

Yeah, I am going to have to say it is done. If I did anything else I would have to cut out the middle and it would only be the outline of Applejack. Like I said I messed up but next time I will try to make it better.

I don't know anything about carving pumpkins but if I do one, I might try printing out a pattern, cutting it out, sticking it on the pumpkin, tracing around it, and then cut along the traced lines. But if you can draw it right on the pumpkin, that's good too.

 

Cutting around the traced lines you will get just an outline of the pony you want (unless you want that). Try SugarSlatheredCandyApple's idea it makes more sense.

No, what I mean is cut along the lines first and then you can cut out away from it as far as you want. You could even make a border around it for example, with Applejack you might make a border of Apples or leaves.

If I get the chance, I'll try my hand at a pumpkin carving. I've never done anything besides a face, so it'll probably turn out really weird and messy... We'll see though!
