Well at E3 there have reveled the PS3 and here's the low down.

They both have the following

AMD APU x86_64 Cpu
AMD 7970D Graphics
Xbox One 8 GIG ddr 3 / PS4 8 Gig of GDDR 5
Both will have 500GIG internal HDD
Both Consoles look like a VCR player
Both Consoles are Black with the same mate finishes on the same facing side of the console

Xbox One 499 / PS4 399
Both have Camars

VS PC

My last 2 custom builds.

All 3 are x86_64 cpus
Xbox one and PC run on Windows 8 kernel
Xbox One and Pc uses DirectX API's

PC's have way better hardware specs, More powerful Graphics, Huge amounts of system memory and all the HDD space one could require.
PC dose not require Online connection / Always online connection (but helps)
PC games are WAYYYYY cheaper then console games (TY steam)
PC are more customization for input/output devices.
Dose not look like VCR player

Im sticking with PC gaming this Gen again

Actually the starting price for the Xbox One is $499. I am excited about the PS4, Sony really killed Microsoft this time around. Maybe I'll invest in a PC for gaming. Idk..I'm still a console person though.

You honestly cannot compare consoles to PC. PC's are open and can be upgraded at will. Software is then built around those potential upgrades, though not always taking advantage of it. Consoles are simplified to provide a much easier access to the latest tech that doesn't require upgrading certain parts every year. Again, comparison is pointless.

 

Between the PS4 and One though, PS4 hands down. It supports used games fully, has no DRM, doesn't have a spy camera required, will work fully offline and is more powerful.

 

By the way, I think the One is $499.

I compaied PC for a solo reason that

A) steamBox is coming out

b.. OUYA is in theory a Android BOX
C) Alienware X51 could easily fit all your Console needs

 

Running windows 8 With Steam BIG screen support, Plug in a wired/wireless Xbox Controller and you have a killer PC/Console

Ugh I really hate this. Why did they have to follow through with what Microsoft did? Free Multiplayer is what made the PS3 genuinely better than the XBOX 360. Now they will loose their edge.

 

Since the spec is basically the same it all comes down to the library of games and which console will get the better exclusives.

I'm actually happy about this. It doesn't cost very much, and it keeps people honest. It makes the online community better in general, because there will be less trolls creating troll accounts and such.

do self a favor, get a Tiny but powerful pC like the Alien Ware I posted above. Plug in any wireless/wired/bluetooth controller and  enjoy all the free gaming you could possible want on DEDICATED servers across the world

Kyoshi nailed it though, glorious PC race is glorious because it can be upgraded. Though if I'm going to get a console, it will be the PS4 hands down. Beats the Xbox One in almost every way, hardware and software. The only loss of not being able to play games exclusive from Microcrap.

 

Also, The problem with that is that the case from that Alien ware computer is that it is TOO tiny. Won't be able to fit new, better graphic cards in the future. Its best to build your own.

I'd rather get comfy on the couch and use a system that was designed specifically for gaming. I could care less about all the crazy specs of the new PCs, I've played online games on both the PC and the Xbox 360, and I have enjoyed the console much more.

The only HUGE Blow that Sony has in the console Wars is the API's they use

No offense to any one that likes OpenGL but when it comes to Graphic features and codeing. OpenGL sucks ballz

This is were Xbox One and Windows Kill. DirectX api's are way more muture. Have way more features Including but not limited too

PhysicX (assuming ones running Nvidia)

Example (poor examples) X-plane VS Prep3D  or Metro 2034 on ATI vs Nvidia. Its that big of a difference

 

PS i only used Alien Ware as a example. Go ahead and build a Custom Setup box.. The point is it'll still be way better then buying a console. And yes you can Design a PC to act like a Console were you can "get comfy on the couch and use a system that was designed specifically for gaming" Today most PC games come per-configured to use Controllers, or redefine the key/button layout your self.

I'll probably stick to my PC games....other then my PC having a  slightly older video card ( 6770) my PC Beats the  other specs of the PS4 and Xbox onenoproblem....that and with Steam I can often buy games ridiculously cheaper then going to EB Games...My PC already plays any game I have at max/Ultra settings. and most games right now don't even use more than 4 cores in a system. My PC is pretty future proof for now.

 

When I get a full time job again, I may just build a whole new PC strictly for gaming in the living room....put an auto load OS of some sort on it so Steam boots up right away....think of it as a Steam console.push start and Steam auto starts and logs me in, so I'm ready to play in 10 seconds flat. A place here called "ELAN Games" had their PCs set up like that....but booted up to a different game based OS/program...until they went out of business, lol.

Pretty hard to decide when it comes to the top two gaming consoles and a hardware computer with graphics that are as clear as day. I would have to sign with the PS4 since, people are now convinced about the Xbox One and how it is with the gaming policy and the the internet connection policy. On the other hand, we have a PC which can be modified in graphics and the way a PC can play games with either a keyboard & mouse, an Xbox controller, and a Playstation controller.

 

So I am at a loss for words, when it comes to deciding.

I am a PC gamer, however, if I did buy one of the consoles, then it would be the PS4.

 

Microsoft screwed up, so they can pull another profit.

 

However about paying for multiplayer, probably in the wake of the hackings of PSN 2 years ago, that took servers down for weeks, Sony is probably improving security measures for PSN, and now have to pay due to security costs. Just like XBL.

You're mad crazy if you don't want free games every month, discounts, exclusive/early access to betas, and improved servers for less than $5 a month. Sony is making you pay to make you benefit more for being with them. So what if you get three less sodas a month? The benefits outweigh the cons. Not even Steam offers this sort of thing and they are an amazing source for sales and gaming.

Yeah, I can't read specs anymore... I have no idea what these even mean these days. The games all look beautiful enough to me, and that's on all three consoles and PC. The graphical differences no longer mean much to me.

 

The one thing I hate about this generation is how I'm probably now going to want both a Wii U AND a PS4. Thanks to Kingdom Hearts III, the series that really made me love owning my PS2.
