So I'll just say that I'm neutral with the whole thing. 1 Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something? Lost 1,410 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 I believe in ghosts, i have done since before I had an experience with a ghost, my mother is a spirit median (she sees dead people) she use to help contact ghosts at a local church when I was younger but she stopped. When my great grandmother died, both my mother and younger bother saw her wave goodbye to them, dressed in the clothes she died in, in the morning the hospital rang and told us she had passed away. Allosauridae 54 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 Hello, folks, your good lurker friend Nim here. So i wanted to get some other peoples opinions on what they think of the supernatural. I personally believe in things like ghosts, demons, cryptids and other legends along those lines. I find it very interesting, and i actually think there's quite a bit of proof for stuff like that you can find almost anywhere. I want to hear what you guys think on this matter, and I hope i haven't posted this in the wrong place. Thanks for reading. Ghosts are real... go to my parent's farm or our house... Here we have 1 ghost... the owner's father-in-law... Bob. Bob likes to mess with me... knocks on the front door, and no one is there.... I watched out the window right next to the door while this happened, checked for other reasons there was knocking on that door and there was no other reason. Cold spots... cats will stare at these area's... Things moving, like shadows when nothing is there to make a shadow. The front outside light... the switch is in the house.... We rarely turn it on and we turn if off when done needing it... it will be turned on when neither of us turned it on, no one else here to turn it on. Things getting moved (things cats can't do) Cupboards being opened when it is frankly impossible to the cat to open that particular one... as it latches. Other freaky things, and Bob is a perv btw. There is another Bob, 2 different men... and places. At my parents I saw a guy near the fence line near the woods, Laredo saw him too and 'said hi'... then the man vanished. There was no way he could reach cover within 5 seconds. I told Mom about it... she asked what he looked like, from how far away I was I could tell it was more country/western type shirt, button up by how it looked and a hat... It's Bob she replied, he died here before I bought the property, machinery he was working on fell and crushed him. (never said where at that time) Asked my older brother about Bob, he described the man in detail and the clothing was same color and cut I saw.... thing is Laredo saw him too and reacted to him. That house gets many cold spots, things move off of shelves and land on the floor, not broken and right side up... few feet away. Water will be turned on at times, can hear someone walk past you and no ones there... someone wrap their arms around you and you feel real cold and no one's there... 2 men died there... Mom's late husband, Tim... who was like a 2nd dad to me... and Bob. Well I always hated the garage, especially the back room... just has a bad feeling in that building. Now I know why, it's where Bob died.... (I hated that area even before I knew about Bob) The barn has a bad feeling where a goat had a terrible death.. Friend sent me a photo from Cobb? WI that she took herself of a ghost.. I lost the pic of that spot without the figure in it to show that it's image did go through a photo... They didn't see the person but had heard something creaking on the stairs. Ghost cat... my sister and I saw it... fuck, it meowed at us then said come here... wtfh. She remembers it clear as day as I do... was missing an eye. Never saw it again other than in a vision and it was like a dream or whatever in what happened to my cat, Sharptooth... which I never told my sister about, and this happened before I saw the ghost cat... he had lost his eye and was trying to hid behind a barrel of some sort while some person tried to get at him to kill him. :/ Older brother has reported demony type things happen to him on parent's farm. Friends have reported demon type things... I have seen a figure with red eyes during a storm but that memory is hazy 3 Old Name was Dekanogi'a
Hansel 1,512 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 (edited) "Supernatural" is a funny word. I'm not entirely sure what it means. I don't really know whether or not, say, ghosts exists. I haven't seen any myself, or any kind of evidence, so I personally do not believe in them. I just have no reason to. However, for argument's sake, I'll assume that they do exist along with every other supernatural entity. Why are they "supernatural"? If they exists, then surely they're just... natural. Allosauridae 54 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 Hansel, I've wondered why they coined that term also... perhaps because things can't fully be explained. For example, why are their ghosts or these 'myths' of various creatures. I put myth's in quotes because there are many and some haven't had proper documentation or enough proof and do forth. Perhaps its also because it's hard to prove or how these things happen, is there another plane? another dimension... what? Even my Dad, who doesn't believe in ghosts has admitted to odd things happening... But he'll never say he believes in ghosts, lol. 1 Old Name was Dekanogi'a
StormzInvader 127 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 I've watched enough documentaries to know that ghosts are real. Magic, monsters, etc.? Probably not real in my book. Only ghosts would be the one that would be 100% real for me. (Information may be wrong... read at risk?) Ghosts are just energy. This energy may be good or bad and it takes the form of orbs. (Information end) Though, I've been really fascinated about ghosts and such, I've never really encountered one face-to-face or anywhere close. I really want to study up about them more, yet at the same time, don't wanna get scared too much. From what I have seen in lots of documentaries, ghosts do take the form of so many things. Poltergeists, different kinds of ghosts, etc. It all fascinates me. I have so many people who have encountered ghosts and demons (probably), but never have I encountered a single ghost in my life yet. (or maybe I didn't notice) I wouldn't want to be caught by surprise though and all of that because that would make me just jump up and run away. XP I want to at least get prepared. I only really want to study more abou them. That's the only thing that makes me interested about them. Quite scary but interesting nevertheless. 3 Thank you, Gone Airbourne, for the amazing signature!

Discount_Flunky 75 February 24, 2013 Share February 24, 2013 (edited) I believe in ghosts. I have had lot's of personal experiences, in fact the majority of people have, which is why it boggles my mind why ghosts are still considered to be fairy tales by many people. The amount of evidence for ghosts is quite overwhelming. I also believe in aliens, but I haven't seen any compelling evidence that any of them have actually visited earth, so I'm not going to say I believe in alien abductions and such. Can't remember exactly what my older brother said, he had the room right above were we park Mom's vehicle... the blue room as I call it. He was lying on his bed and a black figure came up through the floor and grabbed his ankles telling him to make a request/wish... He said something about on of his friend and within the week, whatever he said actually happened. He also saw a black figure with red eyes, can't remember what form it was in, next to his old Prix, car was fine earlier that day after he drove it... when he went outside the tire was slashed.... None of the dogs had alerted us to anyone on the property... and NO ONE is able to sneak on without baying and barking. In the blue room weird things happen, real icey spots in summer when that building is like an oven... Jazzy would react to things I couldn't see, real bad feelings in the upstairs, just like the downstairs, most of those feelings are in the 3rd upstairs room, back room downstairs... (front room is where mom parks her vehicle, back room has farm stuff in it, tools, Dad's old stuff... upstairs the room that you walk into, the middle room, is like a storage area/living space... the room next to the stairs, to the left when you open the door is the blue room... was my room for a while... the 3rd room upstairs is the larger bedroom... now a storage room) Not my property, Mom might be for it... Dad wouldn't be! 1 Old Name was Dekanogi'a
Buttonmash1973 1,026 February 25, 2013 Share February 25, 2013 I visit Ghosts.org and Shadowlands Haunted Places. As a kid I only had one visit by something supernatural. I watched TV in the living room as my mother were in the kitchen. A thing waved behind me, and I thought it was my mother but she said it was not her. Kitty Cat Moonshire 629 February 25, 2013 Share February 25, 2013 What I don't understand is why people are dismissing the supernatural in the name of science. Science is the study of the known world, so it goes to reason that there are some things that science cannot, at this point, cover. Ghosts and demons, angels and and all that fun stuff, if they existed, would still be in the realm off the unknown, simply because science has not found a way to interact with them yet. So saying 'science doesn't agree' is foolish, because science cannot know everything immediately. There was a time when science did not know about the microscopic world. Does that mean it didn't exist? No! Science just couldn't interact with it at the time! So there's my two bits. 4 Make sense? What fun is there in making sense? IronPuddinG 249 February 25, 2013 Share February 25, 2013 I do and do not believe in 'ghosts'. I base my viewpoint on the Bible's viewpoint about the soul dying when the body dies. Now, since the soul dies, what are the ghosts? Demons. They are quite cruel and only exist to make your life bad, even if it doesn't seem like it (EG, loved one waves goodbye). So, they impersonate the dead. I personally have not had any contact with demons and I wish to keep it that way, but my great-uncle had been sleeping one night when he was a child and his matress, with him on it, was lifted into the air. My family doesn't go into great detail about it, and I haven't really inquired it to my uncle himself. Another experience was with a good friend of mine (an older fellow, 60+). He often had demons banging on his windows and doors at night and his son, who was staying with him for a short while, reported that he had seen demonic 'cartoons', as he described it, playing on the walls. "Dumping someone is like throwing a kitten into a pool of lava." - Day[9] 'I see!' said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.

NightOwl 912 April 19, 2013 Share April 19, 2013 I went on a ghost hunting trip with my sister to a haunted jail. There was a bunch of us at the jail and we were accompanied by psychics. We were split into groups and in one of the jail cells I saw a emerald green flash of light that was sudden and quick. At the end of the night we did a table tipping session and to my surprise the table was jumping pretty high. I have had other strange experiences but don't really want to get into detail with them. 1 Signature by me avatar by Azura.
Sir Cal Stonehoof 596 April 19, 2013 Share April 19, 2013 Well I am pretty sure I can be part of a very small group that has seen Death itself. I saw the spirit of Death come in and escort my dad to whatever lays beyond this existence. I will spare you the backstory, but my dad was in the hospital. He had three brain aneurysms burst at once. He last a week on life support before we had to pull take him off of life support. I was sitting up in his hospital room with my sister in law, and grandma. They were talking among themselves, and I was sitting on the floor, kind of participating but just sticking to myself. Then the room got cold, I mean ice cold, and it got dark, but I was the only one that noticed. All sound had stopped too, that was odd, because the life monitors were still beeping a moment ago. I looked towards the room door, and I saw what I can only describe a black mist, or maybe like layers of sheer black fabric come into the room. It was standing about maybe 3 or 4 feet off the ground, from my perspective. It flowed, and slowly moved towards my dad's bed. Then I heard a voice that came from within as well as having an outside source "Turn your eyes away, its not yet your time." But before I could do anything, everything was back to normal, except my dad was gone. I got up, and went downstairs to tell the rest of the family the news.. I know my story isn't really that scary, or spooky, but it'll always stand out in my mind. 3 Signature By: ~Sassy Dashie~

Zalgo 593 April 19, 2013 Share April 19, 2013 I have a few stories from when I was at my cottage, about a year ago. I have no idea if the things I saw were actually paranormal, for all I know, they could have been animals or maybe even people. So, my friend was with my at the cottage, and he asked me "Want to go for a walk or something" And I respond with "Yeah, sure" So that's what we do, until we come across an RV on the side of the road. The thing was entirely wrecked, the front half was practically non-existent any more and there were shards of glass everywhere. My friend turned towards me and said "Wanna go check it out?" We probably shouldn't have, but we were going to anyway. As soon as I took a step towards it, I heard what sounded like a low guttural growl mixed with a person crying. We got the hell out of there in an instant. The next day, we decided to go to the beach. To get there, we had to take the same path that had the RV. We both shot an awkward glance towards it as we walked by, still a little spooked about what happened the day before. We made the mistake of staying at the beach until 6:30, dusk. Now the way there and back was through a forest, with very thick trees all the same distance apart, with only a few places that you could see far through. Half way through, my friend stopped, looked to the right, muttered something then started to sprint away from me. I just sat there for a moment, puzzled and asked my self what the hell scared him so much. Then I looked to the right. Standing in the forest were three shadowy humanoid figures all standing straight up and just staring in the opposite direction. They could have been people, but there's a little problem. One of the things had to atleast have been 10 feet tall and he was pretty damn bulky. I let out a little squeal, and they all turned towards me at once. The big one made some kind of noise while looking at the other two, then they slowly started to advance towards me. That is when I worked up the strength to run. And run I did. When I made it back, I told everyone what happened, and naturally, no one believed me except my friend. Luckily we were leaving that night anyway. I haven't been back there yet, and I never want to.
Grayhem1136 10 April 19, 2013 Share April 19, 2013 Alright, I got story of one of my Dads experience during a girls comp for our word. Keep in mind we are LDS and a couple years ago. Names have been changed, mostly because I can’t remember their names. The second day of the camp had started like any other, the girls had break fest and where sitting around the fire pit conversing, when suddenly Jenny, a shy girl that sat on the side of the grope listing to the others, turned deathly pale as the she had see death its self, fell to the ground covering her head screaming in terror, although to be defending herself from an unseen creature. The leaders by this time had seen what was going on and rushed over to the fallen girl who was now thrashing wildly, Jeff my father came over and picked up the girl and toke her to the nearest tent, onto a cot where three or four other leaders where waiting for to give her a blessing. The other leaders asked Jeff to stand outside to keep the other girls from getting in the way. As he stood at the doorway, he felt a shadow pass over him; he looked up and saw a ghostly outline of a man sized black bird with a large beak. As he stood staring down the entity. After several minutes the screaming had stopped and the other leaders steeped out, by this time the entity had left; and shortly after the incident a couple of the leaders made the choice to take the girl home and as if this type of thing happed often. When they had arrived at Jenny’s home later that day, one of the leaders asked if Jenny had any medical history of going into shock, her parents replied that she had no medical history. They tried to think of what could be the problem as they took her up to her room and opened the door and stopped at what they saw. The walls in Jenny’s room where covered in what turned out to be diagrams and sketches of pentagrams, all of it giving way to Jenny practicing witchcraft
Unpredictable Ranger 696 April 19, 2013 Share April 19, 2013 Oh no, what we don't need to be added into the world is to have more people practicing witchcraft. As it is, we've had so many work to be done in undoing what witchcrafters do towards people around them (though the deaths they caused were sometimes non-preventable). But that's life anyway, there are people practicing good deeds and people practicing forbidden deeds. 1 Equestria's Lone Ranger and dedicated ex-prosecutor... http://www.bronyland.com/pony-personality-test/?q=MDM3MXw3NTA2NTE ' Watchin y'all.
