Wow, Alistar? Haven't seen him in awhile

It kinda saddens me that he isnt around a whole lot.

 

The only thing that makes him funnier is when you actually  build damage and combo +lich bane proc someone to death. xD

Last time I saw an Alistar he was top lane AP/off-tank... Man that thing hurt...

Top Ali is too mana hungry for me. That or I just don't know how to manage properly. xD

 

But, yes, he freaking hurts when done right.

Get either a Morello's or Athene's early on. Should take care of your mana problems, then leave you open for whatever else you want

I try to rush at least a chalice then go for my other things like Rod o' Ages so it can start stacking before finishing the chalice fully.

 

That actually only partially helps my problem as his combo takes a damn chunk of his total until later in. Almost as bad as Poppy. >.>

If you are going against an AD top laner, get Morello's. More cost effective, since you aren't wasting the gold on MR.

 

Try the new essence reaver, it helps her mana problems greatly as she is very AA heavy. In fact, only one ability does something other than either boost her AA's or makes it easier to get in close to AA

True, I just seem to like the passive of Chalice's over it.

 

I don't actually play her top lane, I just know that the few times ive played her in ARAM ive gone oom literally after one full combo. xD

If I ever do start playing her, I'll remember to get that item early in unless the situation says otherwise.

Thresh and Morg are my go to supports. Safe champs who can make both picks and disengage equally well, along with the always powerful Lantern for Thresh (though I'm really bad at remembering to throw the damn thing out when it's useful) and Black Shield for Morgana. I'm not an especially aggressive support most of the time when my Flash isn't up, I prefer passive playing around enemy mistakes and mispositioning. Wards everywhere too. But I can play most supports at an alright level, except maybe Alistar. Never was able to get the Headbutt + Pulverize combo down.

I love to play some Morg as well, however,im the opposite of you in that Im aggressive as balls. I can rarely Black Shield my lane partner to block something fast like a pull or hook, but you can bet anything ill be messing about in their bush trying to bait out something for the lulz. Hell, I have a bad habit of getting myself into some shit, only to come out with a kill or two and a sliver of my life. Whether or not its done on purpose is up for debate (its actually half the time on purpose and half the time cause im being stupid and silly). Im a tad too ballsy sometimes for my own good. x)

 

My low health baits are too fucking stronk. \o/

 

As for Thresh's lantern, Ive gotten quite used to using it accordingly. Whether its saving someone or bringing an ally with me to fight.

 

Oh, and about Ali's combo, as it was for me and how a friend explained it, its much harder to do super close up as you've less time to work with. Starting close to max headbutt range lets you watch him much better to see when to start your pulverize. Once you get used to it in general its not too hard at all. I still prefer just walking up to someone's face, spamming joke, and knocking them up only to head butt them back at my team. The other one is just to catch up to them and stall for a few or kill secure.

Eh, you can still do that by just doing what you do best. aggressiveness isnt everything, yo.

 

I find it funny that ive never built a Mikhails before. Ive never seemed to really need one. I guess I should try it out on one like Annie who has no shield or healing for the situations when my nuke isnt enough.

Especially in Solo Q where picks with CC can make or break the game Mikhails is a godly item to save your team from throwing.

In my opinion, CC is what wins games. I mean, honestly think about it. Without a decent amount of CC, you can't make as strong of picks, it is harder to initiate fights, & it is easier to get turned on & destroyed. With CC though, you become a much more threatening force. There is a reason you find people backing off when they see Leona, Blitz, or Thresh leading the charge

Depending on how your lane goes, depends on what you want to get on her first. Like, if you are going massively ahead, just get some mana pots & a sheen. If you are sort of stalled, the essence reaver would work well as it would let you duel people a bit easier. If you are behind, like really behind, get some tank & just peel for your carries. Your E makes a fantastic peel move. Then get damage back up & just grab their fed members & never let go. Poppy's biggest strength comes in her part assassination, part fighter style of play. One of my favorite things to do is figure out whoever is jumping onto my team (usually an assassin), ult them, then dive onto their carries & burst them before running out & waiting for CD's. Also, in lane, max W second. I used to go for E but the W passive can actually be quite OP, since it gives you free MR & Armor, making it much harder to kill you, as well as a speed boost when activated, leading for better chasing or fleeing, depending on the situation.

And yeah, I get you. I like a few players individually like that, like Alex Ich and Madlife... But I like the team they're from too, usually.

Yeah... I mean if you tied me down & forced me to pick a team I would probably say Fnatic, just because it does have quite a few players I really like, but it is harder to pick a team than players for me

Ive never been one for watching pro games. I get too bored too fast. Same goes for streamers as well.

Ive always been a bad one at watching other people play games when I could also be doing that.

 

This also makes me a tad bit irritated when people spout off about how the "meta" changes just cause some pro players decide to play a different set of champs a different way.

Dont even get me started on when people actually try to do what the higher ups did in their last match.

Well that's how I play actually. I'm very flexible when it comes to playing champions so I usually just follow the pro meta because I don't really have any personal favorite picks.

I personally just find a champion I like & play them. Works better for me. If I like a champ in the meta, great. If not... Eh, whatever. Lately I have been playing tons of Rumble, Sion (AD), Quinn, & Ryze in the top lane
