Chaos can only be contained, but never truly destroyed. So, Discord might be able to be defeated here, but it is interesting how he technically is the most powerful of them all, even with Chrysalis defeating Celestia. As Questioner said, it would be insta win with the EoH. Without them, in whatever scenario, who knows. We just don't know the true extent of Discord's power because he has never went on a bloodlust rage.

Do what? Discord is spirit of chaos not spirit of doom. It's not in his interest to kill anyone, chaos is even greater when it is experience by living beings which spread chaos even more when they panic.

Even if, it has already shown that elements of harmony can be used to defeat him. But he can't be destroyed just as spirits of harmony.

I'm sure they could defeat him if they would work together. They just need to do it one at a time. I don't think those villains together would get along anyway, since they all want to take over Equestria.

If Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon can work together with the Mane Six to defeat Discord, then they could probably pull it off if you combine the Elements of Harmony with the combined powers of Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon.

 

If they don't work together, then it would probably be the exact opposite.

Yup. But only because of the last line. Sombra, Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, Celestia; they all can't do shit, because the EoH are the single thing that are known to stop Discord, and that's it. Discord is a reality-warping spirit who can't be defeated through traditional means. You either use the EoH on him, or bust.

Discord is a God, and has demonstrated the ability to do practically anything. It was shown he was toying with Equestria in previous appearances, but if he had bloodlust everything would be gone before the problem could even be identified.

Well actually Sombra Chrysalis and NMM are all useless in the fight besides maybe buying time for the mane 6. Or distracted Discord.

 

The only thing that will affect Discord is the EOH. Thats my theory. I would go into more depth about it, but basically think of the EOH and Discord as a chemical reaction, where Discord is an acid and EOH is a base, when the EOH are applied to Discord, he is neutralized, which makes him turn to stone.

 

Thats basically how I see it, and is why I believe the EOH are the only force capable of stopping Discord.

Discord would find some way to get around the elements of harmony. He'd use some sort of magic or something. He's not the type to make a plan and then have it fail instantly, so if he could get all those villains together, they'd find some way to win (Or at least almost win)

Of course with the Elements. If we think without them I think only Chrysalis could if she ate all the love in Equestria, specifically the crystal heart which seems to have a similar property of the elements which destroys evil. If she did that I believe she'd have the magical power to warp reality as well. It think Sombra, Celestia, or Luna could help if they wore the Alicorn Amulet.
