  1. It seems that I'm in minority, because I can't say that I loved the season finale. I don't say that it was bad but I still like S2 ending more. I didn't liked the battle beetwen Twilight with Tirek, it was just too long and too much not in MLP style. And another use of overdone weapon of mass destruction of evil. At beginning Tirek looked like he will be very cool villain, but after he started devouring more and more magic thus becoming stronger he also started to become more and more boring and cliche character. He cannot match with Discord when he was evil, Tirek actions was just plain and predictable without any refinement nor artfulness. Just give me moar magic! Discord also disappointed me a little, he didn't even tried to trick and play with Tirek. He wasted potential of his unawareness of the existence of the fourth alicorn, he could use this card to play with Tirek. Instead he just let Triek to enslave him, and allowed him to grow stronger than himself. I also didn't like Twilight's new palace design, it just doesn't fit to village scenery. It should has more organic look, at least different coloring. But I'm glad that mane 5 didn't became alicorns nor didn't stay in this ugly super rainbow power form. The other things in the episode were very good, so eventually I can say that I really liked it.
  2. I think that the problem with Spike is similar to issue with Fluttershy who often suffers from very bad writing which results in a lot of hate from people towards her character. He has done a lot to deserve to be called mane 6 true friend. Especially for Twilgiht, he accompanied her from her childhood, he always supports her, especially when no other pony is around. He is a very important figure though very underrated. And he is different as you mentioned, which makes his character even more interesting.
  3. Very interesting theory. Even though I never was interested in tarot at all I very like such theories. But I thinks that most of this is rather a coincidence, a very interesting coincidence.
  4. I don't hate that scene but I felt really sorry for him. I know how he felt, though I didn't experienced such a big epic fail yet, and I hope I never do.
  5. A very good Spike episode. I can relate very well to his self-esteem issues. Especially his words at the epilogue, many people tell me that I'm very good at something but I just can't believe them. This has a lot to do with the past and unfortunately I still struggle with that without success. I liked that his actions was appreciated in Crystal Empire, something he really deserves. Very good attitude of Twilight, I'm very glad that she didn't went that road of hiding the truth from him. One thing that really puzzles me is why they picked Fluttershy and this muscle pony to relay race team? Do ponyville really lack of good flyers? We've seen a lot of pegasi in Hurricane Fluttershy - where they gone? Do not get me wrong, I love Fluttershy and don't hate this white guy but they are the last ponies that fit to this competition, regardless of their achievements in Rainbow Falls episode.
  6. An episode focusing on zebras - I'd love to see one! More zebras in regular episodes - I'm against, Zebras don't fit to Equestria (if it means the country) much, not their environment. But some rare cameos of other zebras than Zecora would be fine.
  7. I think that possessed Rarity was even better than Nightmare one. Her power much more fits her personality. She was more menacing, actually have done a lot, and who knows how it would end if Spike didn't broke the spell. Of course NR seems to be more powerfull because she managed to defeat Luna, but besides this she didn't managed to do much. Although NR looks much cooler, possessed evil-Radiance Rarity seems to be more interesting in my opinion.
  8. @@silvadel, This decision was too serious to take it so rashly. Taking care of animals aren't that easy, first she should prepare everything and give instructions to the ponies who would be responsible for her pupils. But it seemed that she intended to leave just as she stood. @@Anilewe, I hate that her potential is wasting. I love her character, but mainly how I see her and her traits in my imagination. I think that this is the main reason why many people hate Fluttershy. Her problem with toxic behavior in relationships is somehow similar to the problem Pinkie Pie has. By very different reasons both can suffer by decisions they take to make thier friends happy. Fluttershy tends to quietly sacrifice herself by putting others needs above her (passive form), on the other hand Pinkie Pie engages herself too much and reacts very emotionally to failures (active form).
  9. Spike focused episode that wasn't a disaster. Spike as best friend of Rarity. Good role of Owlicious. Evil version of Rarity-Radiance - an alternative to Nightmare Rarity. Rarity going mad/possesed by evil book giving her power of materializing and transforming things to everything she can imagine. Problem with Rarity not related to her becoming overly greedy. Yes, I totally approve! Although not perfect, I enjoyed it much. I loved Rarity expressions, she was so creepy. Now I wait for episode where Twilight is becoming evil or possessed.
  10. This moves me even deeper beause I knew a girl who was almost exacly like Fluttershy. She had very low self-esteem, and tend to take decision which makes her suffer like she would like to punish herself for something. Like Fluttershy she seemed to forget the lessons learned every time. Like she was hating herself or something. I really don't want Fluttershy to go that way further. I hope the situation will change in future. The issue with depiction her character resemble a problem with Rarity shown to be too greedy in previous seasons.
  11. Monitoring the customers and potential customers opinions of their merchandise seem to be a wise proceeding. Browsing forums can provide an insight of the expectations of target audience of their products.
  12. This seems to be the natural course of things if parent are gone for good.
  13. Their crush was very cute at the beginning, but it never had a chance to become something serious. Rarity never felt something serious towards Spike, neither he. He just experienced an youthful infatuation, it sometimes happen that e.g. kids "fall in love" with teacher or actress or some other adult person. If it would be further developed it would change from being cute to being ridiculous. I'm glad that they finally put end to this.
  14. @@MarcelineA, You're right, this can be a big inconsistency in her character presentation. However being in such state of mind like e.g depression; anger, grief and other negative feelings can arose inside, even towards friends. So I would say that the new Fluttershy didn't present her real mind in majority. Negative thoughts about her friends could pop out in her mind time to time, it's normal in some situations, but in normal state of mind she would quick reflect herself that she is wrong. Anyway I think that her present strong altruistic attitude comes from her feeling of the need of redemption. Maybe It's a little far-fetched explanation but the best that comes to my head right now. It is, in our point of view, but what if sacrificing herself makes her happy in some way? Anyway, that situation was too extreme to explain it by her shyness. So either she is stupid like you said or have some martyr's and masochistic tendencies or want to punish herself for something. I hate that they show her to be able to kill for her animal friends while being very restrained and aloof if it comes to ponies. I hope it came out just from very bad writing, not from intended character development. How they showed her behavior in this episode makes this trait a big flaw, but with toning it down and rationalizing her actions more it would be a very admirable virtue of her. It's sad because with this depiction of her served us by writers makes the possibility of her being abused in future relationships to be very likely (somehow expecting to be canon in future).
  15. After last episode I've been thinking over Fluttershy's attitude towards friends. I wish to emphasize this to focus only on her relations with friends. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about her attitude after she agreed without a hint of objection to terms of the trade - just to make her friend happy. In fact the whole day she devoted solely on helping Rainbow Dash in getting that book completely putting aside her own needs. Putting aside exaggeration of said situation, isn't this one of the most valuable traits we'd like our true friend would have? This wasn't the first time she acted like that (e.g. "Green Isn't Your Color" comes to mind). Isn't her altruism, complete devotion and willingness to sacrifice herself for friends not only makes her admirable but even more generous than Rarity in a certain sense? Or would you rather say that this is her biggest flaw making her a total doormat lacking of even a shadow of assertiveness which you'd hate to see in your true friend? Maybe she likes to be used by her friends?
  16. This was an ok episode. It had a potential, but it wasn't well utilized. Too much focus on Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, it would be okay if it was only their episode, but it wasn't. AJ and Rarity wasted too much time on arguing on the same subject over and over which started to do the boring, which is a pity because I really love their duo. I think that Pinkie Pie despite being a jerk had partly right but she just gone too much overboard. Rainbow Dash doesn't deserve a hate but she should learn to think faster than act. I have mixing feelings about Fluttershy's attitude at the end. But in spite of all I enjoyed this episode, it had some nice moments.
  17. But she is already more serious than before. She's a princess now, she became more mature but no matter what she will never completely change her personality - she will be always our adorkable Twilight, but just more mature and serious than she was used to be. Her evolution is just inevitable, so we have to put up with it.
  18. I love the old good Looney Tunes. I know that characters there act like they had the bones of rubber. But somehow such extreme gags doesn't fit to MLP for me. Of course we already had e.g. flattened Twilight by door or Applejack flattened on the ground after jump from the ramp. But jumping to the glass or bowl of water from a great height is just too extreme for this show in my opinion.
  19. This is not such educational program, leave this subject to parents and teachers in school. To show what? It's really so necessary to make episode showing/telling about this? Don't you think that it's already enough of this in the media? Or even too much? Do you know why most people begin to hate those things? Because others aggressively attack them with such topics everywhere they can. I just love MLP as it is, especially because it's free from such subjects. The show already provides really a lot of other valuable subjects and related lessons. So what's the problem?
  20. You know, she almost won the Running of the Leaves race using the knowledge from books. So who knows if she also would have a chance to be accepted to the Wonderbolts academy.
  21. It's very difficult to make me quit watching the show. I watched to their ends such series like Lost or Stargate even after they become a total crap in my opinion. So if I leave MLP this will mean that it became a real disaster. Of course I can leave the fandom anytime, but this also doesn't mean that I also will stop to watch show or draw ponies. I just don't need fandom to this, I do all of this mainly for myself anyway.
  22. This was very good episode. I love those kind of episodes about two ponies spending time together. Focusing mainly on two characters provides the best ground on building an extended interactions between them which I like the most. And here we have two colliding opposites resulting in even more amusing actions. I couldn't refrain myself from laugh when I've seen how RD was doing everything but not listening the lessons and how it was irritating Twilight. It was as though I saw myself trying to learn but in fact doing anything but this. I just obtain the best results when I do things last minute under the stress. Fluttershy really surprised me, in very positive way. Her reaction for arguing RD with Twilight was so much not her and very in her character in the same time. She really lacks of such a proper use of her kindness to mitigate conflicts and supporting ponies so seeing her acting like that seems to be so improperly unusual. AJ just won the day, her way of learning through the experience was just the most effective and most natural from all presented. Pinkie Pie rap - I wonder if this didn't steal the episode, at least not for me, but it was really cool.
  23. This is definitely the best season for Rarity, anywhere she appears she just shines. She is unusually very in character in this season. Even in Simple Ways she was very good, most can say that she was very off character and acted stupid there but I took it more as hilarious hyperbolic show of blind affection. Thats how people act in such state, stupid and irrational. Her character was developed very much and has gained a lot of depth this season.
  24. The fact that the laws of physics are regularly violated in the world of Equestria is already known for a long time. I'm more wondering how granny Smith would survive the jump. The bowl of water was so small and the height so big that it certainly wouldn't end up just breaking the spine, If she had landed others would have to scrape her off the ground. Beating records? Rather nomination for a Darwin Award.
  25. I didn't have time to look at the forum earlier but my opinion won't be so long. I think that this episode was very good and I enjoyed it much. Apple family spending time together was very adorable. The Applejack's dilemma with honesty was very well showed. The one thing that was just absurdly stupid - when granny Smith wanted to jump into this small bowl of water. What she wanted to prove by committing suicide? There was no way that she could survive that jump.
