gaming Unpopular Games You Enjoyed?

I really enjoy the new Age of Empires 2: HD Edition but I only ever see negative things posted about it on the steam forums. I have no problems with that game, its my favorite game of all time updated to be better and it runs amazingly on my PC.

I do agree that it's still good, but they didn't change much. It should have been cheaper. But in the end of the day, it's still some epic AoE 2

Anyways, I love Mega Man 6. That one gets bashed quite often

Alan Wake is one of my favorite games of all time.

OK, this is a terrible game, but I still enjoyed it because it was so fun to mess with the horrible AI. Rogue Warrior.

People hate on Resident Evil 5 all the time, but I love that game to death. I've played through it around five times, and have quite a bit of time logged into it.

And an entirely underrated game that is amazing, Guns of Icarus Online. I know only a few people that play it, and it's great fun.

Ever heard of a game called Rayman Origins, I keep telling people to play this game. They don't listen, they keeping making excuses like "I'm not a Rayman Fan" and "That doesn't sound like something I would like". I respond "your a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros fan, this is something you would like" or "Neither am I, but this game is awesome". The game is amazing and should really get more attention. People still don't want to buy it, it sickens me; they keep buying their re-releases of good, but not great games. I also like the xbox Naruto games, but they aren't as good as Rayman Origins.

True Crime: New York City. It's not that well known and it was degraded because of it's many technical issues, however I enjoyed it mainly because of the soundtrack and New York setting.

I also enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII. I have no idea why it's hated so much. The battle system is amazing, the cut scenes are stunning, graphics are remarkable, and the characters were also enjoyable. I only liked a couple songs from the soundtrack, but the game itself is easily my third favorite Final Fantasy title.

That's all I can think of actually.

The PS2 version, though I suppose it doesn't really matter, I heard both versions were really good. All that matters is that the game didn't get the recognition it deserved

Oh, it definitely matters in Okami's case. And you can blame Capcom for the lack of recognition. They kinda did fuck all to advertise it.

First thing that comes to mind are all the games I loved that never really got any attention at all.

All those Humongous Entertainment games, especially the Backyard Sports games (THE OLD ONES!!). That was my childhood. Not a lot of people know Humongous Entertainment because of how small the company is, but when they do, it's an amazing feeling.

Then there's all those old Lego games. Lego Racers, Lego Racers 2, LEGOLAND, and Soccer Mania. My childhood without that? NO WAY.

Hm. I don't really know what games are popular and unpopular honestly for the most part, since I really haven't followed the reviews of games and such all that long.

I suppose if they are unpopular then i'd say the My Sim series, I enjoy the games despite the fact I never hear anyone liking them. Not the greatest games ever, but enjoyable for a little while.

I enjoyed playing the story on section 8 prejudice, the 1st game was decent, but the 2nd was way better story wise. Of course I don't hear much about it, but I really like the Drop in feature it has.

I played some online on it, but not a whole lot really. Can't play it anymore on this crappy computer anyways. It was good I suppose.

I honestly can't think of any other games I've played people told me would be crappy, and enjoyed.. I need to do this at a time where I feel like browsing through my game library I guess, even then I don't know how well accepted alot of my games I own are, only the more recent ones honestly.

edit: Oh wait, there was Sim ant! I played that game alot xD. More when I was like really young, like maybe 4-7 ish? But i did play it a good bit.

Also played Lego Racers 2, and some lego soccer game.

Oh and Lego Island 2. That game was pretty fun back in my childhood.

Was hey you pikachu received good? If not i'll put that there for taking lots of my childhood for its awesome concept.

Currently, two unpopular games I have been playing and would recommend are and old PS2 game called Summoner and its sequel, Summoner 2. They have some recognition amidst certain circles, but mostly they were forgotten despite being one of the best western RPGs, period.

Secondly, The Last Remnant. Not a perfect game by any means, the controls could use work, the first hour of story feels like a grade schooler wrote it, the combat is often frustratingly random, and the bosses exploit the mechanics to a degree of absurdity that I have never previously experienced. However, once you get deeper into the story, it rivals any of Square's other RPGs in terms of depth, character development, world building, and attachment to characters. The one major party character death is for once not absurd and laughable. It hurt, yet it was went so perfectly with the character in that she died defending others instead of stupidly. The cut scenes often had me on the edge of my seat, which I can say has never happened. If any Square game deserved the Final Fantasy affix, The Last Remnant is it.
