For all the Xbox Bronies out there....we have digiital merchandise!

 

Came out just recently too! Hoodies, a Dashie pet and a back pack. there's a version both male and female avatars. I now know what I"m buying with my left over points.

 

There's also talk of Avatar/profile picture packs being released.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I'm probably going to get the themes/avatar picture pack. >3<   I hope they have different characters for each gamer picture and background.

I'm finding it a bit hard for me to get the motivation to turn on my Xbox again.

 

I wiped my Xbox 360's hard drive anyway, so it's not like I can get it on my XBL account (that I forgot the password to) to show off to my 13 friends there. Not that many of them would really care though, since I practically only showed up once in 2011 and five times in 2012, all to wipe things from my drive.

This is actually not only good for MLP but for everything. This happening is a sign that they are seeing more to players, because our specific Fandom isn't the largest but it's big enough to be noticed. I'm not sure what it'll lead too but whatever it will lead too will be cool.

Indeed, I browsed the Avatar store, they also got Adventure Time stuff.

 

MLP is part of Pop-culture, so naturally big companies take notice and will try to make money on it.

 

BTW I bought the Dashie pet and Fluttershy hoodie. though I kinda regret getting the Dashie pet, as it's never really shown anywhere as much as "pets" or accessories used to be. I should've gotten the Dashie hoodie instead. But I"ll get 800 points when I get a new Gold subscription.

 

so I got 130points left, and Picture packs are 120 points IIRC. So I'm hoping I can get it if/when it comes out.

This be good news! Hasbro finally putting out some digital MLP stuff for console gamers. I've seen a video of the RD pet and, well, it looks kinda weird and has a poor-quality rainbow trail (LOL). But hey, it's either that or nothing.

 

I own a PS3 though, not a 360, so this makes me kinda jelly. But I'm hoping that Hasbro do something similar for PSN as well like pony profile pics or dynamic themes (no PS Home BS). I'd buy them all!

We're seeing more stuff for the adult brony crowd lately despite Hasbro's insistence on trying to keep it for the kids as much as possible.

 

Just look at all the new stuff we're seeing pop up, more shirts/clothes, larger more accurate figures, even the high end expensive collectors ones from Comic Con, gamer gear for console avatars, etc...

 

Maybe they've finally realized the money isn't in kids like it was 30+ years ago when they originally made their name, but rather in the older collectors front.

Times have changed, and companies like Hasbro really need to change too, or they're gonna go start going under.

TBH i'm surprised with the bad movies Harmony Gold has made lately that they've not gone bankrupt yet.

 

Only time the kids front makes major money anymore is in the holidays when people think they just HAVE to spoil them. But meh, to each their own.

I see more collectors in the toy isles these days than kids.. which is kinda freaky when you get down to it.

TBH all things on the XBL avatar things are low quality.

Its why i can't stand not having a mask on mine, they are all FUGLY no matter how much editing you put into it. ALMOST makes the Wii avatars look tolerable..

funny thing is, on the dash the textures look washed out and low res, but if you see your avatar in a game, it cleans up beautifully, makes my spartan armor look good even..

Its just Rainbow Dash as far as i can tell, i was gonna have the hoodies but i think i prefer my western looking coat :3

There are pony skins all over on PC, not sure about XBox, can you not upload your own skins?

I really don't even express my bronyness to others on the internet, seeing as I have the same name everywhere, and have other non brony online friends.

Totally cool that Microsoft is doing this, although it is the tail end of the generation and I don't think Xbox One will have avatars, but better late than never I guess.

oh XBO will def have avatars, though likely new ones, or some sort of carry over like the Wii U had.

the avatars are a cheap cash cow for any company, and MS isn't stupid enough to dump it.

People these days seem to have either an excess of cash, or a strange desire for every digital item avail despite it's short life span.

and while the XBO may not be backwards compat with games, i doubt they'd dump the otherwise successful avatars.

Well this is interesting and it makes me glad. I don't have a Xbox anymore but if I did I would totally buy some of the MLP stuff they are offering. Hopefully other systems like PS3 and 3DS get some cool MLP-related stuff in the future.

This would be awesome. I love Minecraft onXbox.I'm still waiting for the newest update,which is a little late. Maybe that's why it's late?They're waiting for the MLP skins to include with the update (as separate purchasable DLC)..

Haha. She could be your "My Little Dashie" That's what I call mine.

 

I kind of regret buying mine though, the "pets" on xbox arn't really shown anywhere anymore as far as I can tell. Unless i"m missing something.
