Yes.

So Light, when you played Chrono Trigger for the first time, how did the trial go for you?

Honestly?

How can someone judge me for bumping with Marle? Howwwwwwwww? That doesn't make any senseee

Well I did save the girl’s cat (good Samaritan at work), left the old man’s lunch as it was without stealing it, didn’t try to sell Marle’s pendant, and denied that Marle’s wealth interested me. I did make the mistake of trying to run off when she was trying to choose some candy. I remember at the trial I was quite frustrated with all these things because “how was I supposed to know?!”. But at least the Trial doesn’t have an overall impact on the playthrough. I find it a fun, interesting, and creative part of the game – I had become quite enamored with it when I went through it for the first time. I’d say it’s a shame that there were no FMV cutscenes to go along with it for the PS1 and DS versions, because that would’ve been the perfect time. A “key moment” as the game put it.

I was found guilty the first time, but I reset the game and was able to be found not guilty by the skin of my teeth. Although the epic music sounded a bit out of place for just three days in jail.

So if I ever did decide to playthrough the game again, I would do everything good I could possibly do to get the best outcome of the trial possible. Not to mention I’d play something called Chrono Trigger Devolution.

I got a Non Guilty without walkthrough, although I was a bit dissapointed at it. It could have made a few later events different. Not enught to make them unbeatable, but just enought to create different outcomes. We are talking about a game where you travel through time, and some of your actions have consequences on the future. It had potential, but it wasn't 100% used in my opinion.

Well, it wouldn't exactly be pleasant to do something not even knowing of any consequences, only to discover you screwed something up royally and can't reverse it.

As for bumping into Marle:

I don't mean all bad consequences, i simply mean different roads. For example, Rainbow Shell arc in the present could have a few different dialogues depending of that judgement. Not too evident, but enought to create a bit of variation.

Also, dat marle scene. When I say that, i instantly said 'wut'.

Right. Well I'd better stop opening myself up to spoilers now Xp
