if you had to show your hater friend a fanfic, wich one would you show?

so the question is basically in the title.

you have a friend, and this friend is a hater to MLP FiM. so you want to convince this guy/girl that MLP is cool by showing him/her a awesome fanfic

 

i would probably go with either:

For every answered prayer.

this is an amazing story if you ask me.

 

it's about rainbow dash and a young colt. they end up in the hospital in the same room together. eventually rainbow dash discovers that the colts 'headace' is actually a brain tumor. very sad but beautifull story.

 

 

or

An affliction of the heart

 

this one is about a royal guard and a changeling. the guard finds her after the events of 'a canterlot wedding' and finds himself unable to kill her. he takes the changeling home and they eventually fall in love. this story is amazingly written. it sounds incredibly sappy(and it probably is)but it's well worth your time.

If I would have to show someone a fanfic that dislikes the show, I would have to say the one I wrote back when I was into the fandom. Not that others aren't good, but mine was all about depression and stuff.

It all depends on their interests... Basically I would just look for a good one depending on what they like (My only hater friend of course doesn't like anything... So... Yeah that wouldn't work for me)

Fallout: Equestria, my hater friend is really big on Fallout and so might enjoy the homage.

 

Either that or he rages about one of his favourite things being "tainted" with ponies.

 

Either way I would enjoy, I either get reduced hate or a good laugh.

Well I know some of my hater friends is like a total historian expert and enthusiast. His favorite subject in history is World War II. So I would probably show him this on awesome fanfic.

you gotta be kidding me! i have 11 chapters done of a fanfic i was writing about the exact same thing but then with applejack as the main character. hell i even got cover art for it.

What? What have I done? No! It's not useless man! 

 

But really, there's more fanfics than just that out there regarding the same subject. Nothing's original man. From what I've seen, some of the great fanfic writers take already used ideas and make it their own!

 

You should probably read it. It's a really great story, and I'm sure it doesn't copy everything you have written so far.

Um, idk really, i haven't read alot of fanfics, and frankly i don't think i'd be showing anyone i know is a hater a fanfic, because frankly they'd never sit down to it mostlikely.

 

Even if they did i dunno what i'd show, most fanfics i read wouldn't appeal or make sense without watching the show.

So frankly i got nothing.

I'd have to say Silent Ponyville or Creeping Darkness would be a good start. Mostly because those were two the first fics I ever read and what re-kindled my interest in fanficion.

I would show him or her "University Days". It's a great story with quite a nice plot. (No pun intended.) And even if it wasn't made with ponies, I would still love it.
