MLP Sketches

Hi there I signed up here no to long ago but still pretty new around here and thought that I would share some sketches that I have done as a little introduction to my art side, since its easier to get suggestions and helpful tips when you can focus on a single pic I'll post one for now with more later.

 

 

This my first ever sketch that I have done in 3 or so years and I decided to draw Fluttershy since she is one of my favorite ponies. I know its a little rough I was practicing a few techniques and getting use to which pencils I like and those I don't.

 

Anyways I appreciate any feedback or tips on what I did right and what I can improve on,  I got a couple more pics to upload but thought this would be a good place to start.

Wow! You say this is your first sketch in 3 years? That'd be fantastic even if you sketched regularly! Nice work man, you got the proportions great, the shading is well done, and the whole thing looks really good! My only critique is that Fluttershy's eyes are not quite the right shape. They are less oval. Check her eyes out, they are distinctively different than all the other Mane 6's eyes. I don't really know how to describe them. But 9/10 for sure!

This is great, and Fluttershy looks really cute. :3  The only thing I'd say to work on is her legs seem a little thin and her wing looks a bit low, but other than that, great job!

Impressive work mate! It's way better than what I can do in sketching. I love the shading you did and most of the proportions seem to be pretty fine.

 

Just work on widening the legs a bit and fix those eyes. Try and make the eyes line up at the same angle.

 

Overall, you've done a great job here!

Hey glad you guys like it yes it was my first sketch in about 3 years, I went out bought some supplies and started drawing this pic. And thanks for pointing somethings out like the wing and the legs I'll work on it. I have a sketch of Rainbow Dash in kinda the same position as this pic and hopfully through practice I did correct those mistakes. I'll probably post that pic later today when I'm not busy with the sketch I'm doing now
