hawkflame 3,310 April 30, 2014 Share April 30, 2014 Having a pegasister girlfriend would just be easier because they'd just get it automatically. You wouldn't have to "explain" your fandom or worry if she's going to think less of you for it. Relationships have enough roadblocks, why add more? I would like to at least have a girlfriend that's part of "geek" fandom in some way, even if it's not necessarily MLP per se. At least in that case I'd hope she would understand what it's like to be passionate about something that others may find silly. 1 Sig by Thunderstorm Check out my Rarity fansite! Carbon Maestro 1,003 June 2, 2014 Share June 2, 2014 I don't think you should judge a boy or girl if you're going to base a relationship off of ponies or no ponies. That's silly. My ex-girlfriend wasn't a brony, but that doesn't mean anything considering that we dated because we're good musicians and are really close during violin/cello duets had similar ambitions in life (loves fashion like I do, likes math). I think if you get a non-brony girlfriend/boyfriend, that's fine. If vice versa, that's fine too. "You learn a lot about people when you listen to the songs that mean something to them." Noire Panzer 3,526 June 2, 2014 Share June 2, 2014 A pegasister girlfriend would be cool. I don't really care if they aren't into just as long as they don't hate it or question it every 5 minutes but having a girlfriend to talk ponies with would be quite interesting. Washougal_Otaku 1,020 June 2, 2014 Share June 2, 2014 I would like my next GF to be enough of a pegasister to put up with the show. She doesn't have to be a genuine one, but to show enough acceptance of the show, and my love for it, is all I ask. (Well, at least that's relevant to this topic). :comeatus: Gimme some time to come up with something new, okay? MUCH LOVES!!!
Arylett Charnoa 4,919 June 2, 2014 Share June 2, 2014 The show was how I got together with my boyfriend, but I wouldn't really give a care if they weren't into it all that much. As long as, as others have said, our interests are mostly shared and they can understand more important aspects of me. If you can deal with the fact that every few months/weeks, I have a mental breakdown, or the fact that I am neurotic and crazy as all hell, then who cares if you like ponies? Cassafrass 249 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 It'd be nice to have a brony boyfriend, but if he wasn't interested in the show that'd be fine with me. As long as he accepts that I like the show, than that's cool with me. But I'm only fourteen so... oh, but my mom told me "don't date a brony!" in a kinda disgusted tone. Like seriously? It seems to me that she feels like bronies are evil or something... wth?! *ends rant*
Nulln 755 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 That would depend on a lot more than what cartoon they enjoy watching. I guess if i have two equally matched guys, then yeah having a shared interest would be nice.
Feather Grass 312 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 I don't mind if they are a pegasister or not all I care about is if they are weeaboos like me. If they are good if not they will probably get confused with what I reference and the music I listen to... Pyon! Ashen Pathfinder 16,161 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 Well, if I had a girlfriend (which I don't), then it wouldn't matter to me if they were a brony/pegasister or not. I would only prefer they respect my love for the show and fandom. Nothing more. EmeraldRarity 102 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 My boyfriend doesn't mind in the slightest I don't think he's never said anything about it,but he hasn't broken up with me over it,so that's good right? I'm just glad I have him and he doesn't care what I'm into.
Frith is Magick 1,471 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 I don't really if a potential girlfriend isn't a pegasister. While fandom is a point of common interest and a good way to meet people, it isn't an important criteria point for building a relationship. All that really matters is that she doesn't care that I'm a brony, but then again, being judgmental of each other's interest isn't great for a relationship anyway (this stuff is so much easier in theory).
