Does anyone still have nightmares?

I haven't had a nightmare since I was about 10, 8 years ago. If i can remember correctly, it was about zombie like creatures that would melt into mush if you killed them, but would reform themselves over time.

Strangely however, I miss having nightmare. The reason I say this is because I like horror & terror, hence why I like horror movies and standing in a dark room, imagining that eyes are following me. (creepy stuff)

I also miss them because nightmares sort of serve as a 'toughen up' exercise (well, that may just be my opinion):P

I'm a 15 year old girl and I've been having nightmares (or no dreams at all) for a month now.

They range from:

A. A surprisingly good plot for a thriller movie.

B. LOTS, LOTS, AND LOTS of Death.

C. Blood...so much blood.

And it ranges on from there.

I love horror-related things...but this is getting ridiculous. :/

All of my dreams, nearly every single night share a common theme: Death. In one way or another. It can get dark and violent at times, and just plain weird and absurd at others. I've grown used to this, so it doesn't really scare me that much anymore

I've had these dreams for years, and they haven't toughened me up one bit......

I still have nightmares... from time to time.

They are (without exceptions) either reviews of things that lie in my past and/ or extremely painful things happening to me or beloved ones.

I don´t know why I have those, and I don´t like to...

I usually don´t dream at all. Or at least I can never remember what I dreamed, but after I had a nightmare I can remember everything (what is pretty annoying), cant really seem to get rid of that.

I've had a nightmare pretty recently, but I rarely have them. I think it was a few years before that I had the previous one and I don't actually remember what it was about. My dreams also tend to be extremely weird and larger than life, so much that I can never understand how any of the actions taken by the people in them make any sense.

One time when I was in Saudi, I remember me, my rival in the swim team and his sister waiting in a small Fiat Panda in front of my old house in Italy that a friend of ours who is also a mechanic was getting ready to drive us to the swim meet. And one other I can never forget is where me, my best friend and another friend we had where kings in the same castle and something obscene happened when I woke up with this creature who looks like Alien was blown to bits by a clone trooper. My friend showed up with an afro and a tutu gown serving drinks when my best friend told me he played with the cards while laughing his ass off. Those are the sort of dreams I have @_@

Sometimes. That is when I can remember my dreams at all; doesn't happen that often.

Mostly they're those classic "you fall into a bottomless abyss" nightmares.

But sometimes they're really bad. Horrible things do I see then. But the worst thing is: I'm often the one who's doing them. Can't interpret that myself... I'm always glad to wake up and see that it was just a dream.

In a word? Yes. I actually hate being scared in all forms, horror movies especially. I have no idea why someone would miss nightmares. I still freak out remembering a nightmare I had two months ago. God, I hate the ones where you die, and then dream you wake up and die, and then wake up for real. It makes me want to scream! And not in the good way. The I-am-so-angry-right-now-walk-away-slowly-if-you-want-to-live scream.

I still have nightmares about college. Usually the dream is that there is some test for a class that I hadn't been to all semester. One time when I was in college I had a dream that was so bad that I had to check my schedule to see what classes I was in. I've been out of school for years but sometimes I still have the dreams. Why can't I dream more about naked ladies?

I don't have nightmares but I constantly wake up in tears and feeling like I'm falling rapidly which often causes me to scream. I don't actually have vivid dreams that I can remember at all.

Does that happen often? To me that sounds like something of concern. (but that's just me :P)

My nightmares still happen a lot whether it ranges from blood, vampires, and bat ponies. Other than that I'm almost done with nightmares.

Vampire bat ponies? sounds interesting.

I know what the cause of it might be but that's not something to discuss right here and now.

It's not the most often thing, I'd say it happens about twice per week on average but some weeks are worse than others.

Occasionally yes, most of the ones I do have aren't gore fests but are still completely terrifying to me. Most of them are about pressures I am facing at work and in life in general, I am completely and utterly terrified of failure and don't tend to take it very well. Ever since this incident where I was suspended and almost fired for some ridiculous BS I have had nightmares about being fired, I can't prove it but I know they are trying to come up with excuses to get rid of me and I am scared to death that I might not be able to keep my sanity long enough to implement my exit strategy so I can get out of that dump on my terms and finally be free to be my own man.

I rarely even dream to begin with, but when I do it's always an end of the world-scenario, or something bad anyway. I can't even remember the last time I had an ok dream, so really I'm just happy when nothing happens in my head (or nothing I can remember afterwards)

I have tons of nightmares, one uniting feature about them is that they usually have loud noises.

Just last night, I had a dream I was lost in a foggy forest and being pursued by some kind of shadowy figure holding an ax. I don't have nightmares every night like I did when I was a kid, though.

Not really. The only dreams I seem to have anymore are incredibly realistic dreams with scenarios that would never happen, but could happen. I will have the occasional 'Did that happen?' dream or the random nightmare, but they usually do not last very long. My dreams are fairly boring. That is disappointing since my imagination is always very active.

In a way, I still have nightmares. I used to have regular nightmares, then I had random dreams, then I had none. But occasionally I'll have a special type of nightmare. Not a terrifying kind, but an emotional kind. Like, someone in my family dies, or I get kicked out of school (yes I would feel bad if that happened), or everyone suddenly hates me, or... well, you get the point. These nightmares aren't just scary. These things manipulate my emotions. Not sure if it counts as a nightmare, but still.

I actually had a nightmare just this morning: I was a slave in some African dictatorship who was escaping from wherever I was.

I get nightmares every so often, and I've noticed that me being chased is a recurring theme in them. The only exceptions I can remember is my friend's pet snake (that I'm watching for him in real life) getting killed due to my negligence, and this one time I was being chased by the Slender Man (which was weird, considering I never got into the Slender Man Mythos).
