Anti Brony Friends?

So something that has happened to me and some online friends is that we are friends with anti bronies and they don't know that I'm a brony infact one of my closest irl friends Girlfriend is an anti brony so he has to hide his love of ponies from her does any pony have stories about this?

I too have MANY and ALMOST all friends who are like this.

 

Usually, I don't bring ponies up, and if they happen to find anything pony related towards me, I just say the truth, and they usually comply after a while.

 

It's all about not flipping out to them that will make them not hate you.

I haven't seen any people who just hate bronies. Most people, I find, are just like 'Oh you like My Little Pony, that's weird, I'm gonna get on with my life' and not actually 'You need to stop watching MLP that is wrong rage rage ragey rage rage' But in the case of your friend I think he should tell her and if she doesn't accept him for who he is, then maybe she wasn't worth it, but who am I to say anything?

Kind of... I told one of my friends that I was a brony after he started ripping on people who wrote MLP fan fics (I write fan fics XD) So now he just insults MLP from time to time. He doesn't use insults like "gay" or "fag" he just says that the show sucks a lot. I'm okay with it though because I know he's just joking around (probably revenge for me insulting Kingdom Hearts constantly XD, every time were hanging out and we pass anything Disney related I say "Look! Kingdom Hearts!" It pisses him off so much )

I have two people I can count off the top of my head that aren't anti-brony. I generally haven't told a single offline soul of my love for the show and fandom for that very reason

Sadly, I'm dating a guy who is an anti-brony. He doesn't constantly rip at me/my friends over it, but he usually doesn't care to see anything I enjoy that relates to the show. I was shocked to learn a lot of my friends are actually bronies, so I don't have very much of this issue!

Actually every single friend of mine is a brony except for one, which makes for a good 5 brony friends or so. These are friends I've had years before G4 even was made also, which makes it all the better. Also my one non-brony friend isn't anti-brony in the slightest way possible. He's doesn't care.

 

You know, when I think about it I'm actually pretty damn lucky!

I have lost lots of REAL-LIFE friends due to Bronyism. 

 

I had the choice between Ponies and "Friends" and I picked Ponies. I'm no longer in a big massive social group at school and I've lost the popularity I once had. But I've never been any happier in my life. 

 

My real friends who were anti-brony have stuck around with me and moved towards a neutral stance. I have a full-blown anti-brony acquaintance and we can carry on a civilized conversation.

Honestly, the majority of people i know don't like bronies, or don't know who they are.

 

There aren't really any bronies at my school i know of though.

 

I know of some people i'm acquainted with who don't like MLP, of course i'm a closet brony, and i wouldn't bring it up anyways, it would just bring up conflict i don't feel like dealing with.

 

I'm also a closet brony for other reasons, but still.

 

True friends won't get rid of you based on something like liking MLP, thats kinda dumb.

Nope, if I tried hard enough I know I could convert them to bronies. They'd be closet about it, but they'd be into it on the low(as long as they don't find out about clopping before they get hooked)

Yeah. My best friend is an Ant-Brony. I'm kinda fine with it though. It makes for some really funny texting conversations. Mostly me just spamming him with pony memes and him just telling me that I have a problem. XD. We don't really talk about it much in real life though so yeah. I think I have to convince him that I'm still me by talking about The Walking Dead or Doctor Who. (Best shows ever!)

I have a friend who isn't what you call an anti-brony, but he doesn't approve of the MLP culture for the most part. I don't know anyone in real life who is a true hater, but rather those who just don't get it.

Most people I know tend to have a sort of "Dude, that's kinda gay" opinion about the whole thing, but I only know about three people who are generally irritated by the whole Bronydom, two of which are my actual friends, the other is someone I don't really like at all, so I won't talk about him (Spoiler alert! He HATES anything to do with MLP).

The strange thing is.. My two friends who are irritated by Bronies, actually used to be self-proclaimed Bronies. So what happened, I don't really know.

They don't get irritated by me, though, as I only talk about Ponies where it's necessary, so yeah.

I've got a friend like that. He fully knows and respects that I like MLP, he just refuses to involve himself in it and jokingly pokes fun at me about it whenever he can. But he's a good friend regardless, so I can tolerate it. 

 

I've got another one who is under constant pony assault by myself and several others. He's shown no interest in caving, and after about a year and a half, I doubt he ever will. That said, he still gets laughs out of pony references. Until he finds out that they're pony references.

Most of my friends don't even know what Bronies are, let alone have an opinion of them. the more geeky group of friends I have is all Pony-free, though, so I guess I have a couple anti-brony friends.

Not a single one. One of my friends thought that it was cute that I was wearing a shirt with two unicorns (it was actually a shirt of Pinkie and RD), one isn't a fan but still watches the show with me, and two other friends love the show.

 

Haven't had a single anti-brony as a friend, yet.

One of my friends is an anti-brony, one is a brony and the rest is either okay with it or doesn't give a damn at all.

Actually just half of my friends know that I'm a brony, but only because I want them to find it out theirselves. I don't hide it,  just show it rather subtile.

I have a friend who knows I'm a brony. I don't think he minds, though. He occasionally pokes fun at the fact, but he respects my likes and dislikes, so I don't mind.

I actually do have a friend who is an anti-brony. Like he really doesn't like bronies that much and he thinks that all bronies are creeps. Yet our friendship remains intact mostly because I just never bring up MLP in conversations and even then he still pokes fun at me for liking MLP.
