To celebrate Gta 5 I decided to create this topic to see which series is the most popular on the forums out of the main Rockstar games series.

Personally I love Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row equally and for similar reasons.The free roam access,the rag doll effect,the comedy,the story.Next comes Red Dead Redemption I thought it was good but I just couldn't see anything special within the game.Max Payne,I didn't enjoy any of it.I havent played enough La noire to give an honest opinion about it.

If you don't count GTA 5 but Saints Row 4, I'd prefer Saints Row 4 since its an improvement from the Third one and better than Grand Theft Auto IV. But GTA 5 beats pretty much every single free-roam game since it looks fantabulous!

GTA is legendary by now!!! That's my pick no contest. My favorite game is GTA IV. It's just so fun walking down the street and shooting people. Don't take that the wrong way guys. I'm not a violent person, It's just that it just feels so weird and fun to run away from the cops, drive a car, things that I can't do.

Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption are really great games that I highly recommend to anyone who likes free roam. L.A. Noire is also a very classic game, and you should check that out.

i have to say, saints row all the way. i am psyched for grand theft auto five though, but i like saints row more because of how epically silly the game is.

Anyway, I absolutely loved LA Noire. That game was soooo much fun and so amazing.

 

I also loved GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3.

SR isn't Rockstar. The first Max Payne is definitely my favorite though. You have the birth of bullet time, great comic book cinematics, excellent neo-noir writing, and Norse allegory. It is a masterpiece.

I haven't finished it up yet(it's a long game and just unlocked the third territory last time I played), but I'm going to have to go with Red Dead, it's just awesome to play as a good guy and roam around dishing out justice.

My favourites are LA Noire and the Grand Theft Auto series. Unfortunately I couldn't get into Red Dead Redemption because I'm not really into the western setting though it was still a good game. But you know what else is my favourite:

I must say that I'm surprised that Saint's Row is second considering the fact that most people think of it as a GTA clone. I didn't even know that it was made by Rockstar. That being said, my favorite is GTA, of course, with my favorite being San Andreas and right behind it being Vice City. I've played GTA III and found it infuriating due to the fact that there is no map that you can track where you're going (this makes some mission pass or fail due to trial and error). I never played Red Dead Redemption since I'm not into Westerns. It looked like it would just bore me.

I'm not that big a fan of anything that Rockstar makes but I did like Max Payne 3 and Manhunt a whole bunch. I played Grant Theft Auto in the past and I don't really like it.

I'm kind of split on this one because I love both Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire quite a lot. Screw Grand Theft Auto , that's what filthy casuals play. I'll give Red Dead the edge though since I do love the west and the story is really good.

It's not on the poll but Bully's probably my fav. There's something about it's ability to be like all other Rockstar games without being too graphic that I find appealing

 

I'm also really fond of LA Noire and Midnight Club(also not on the poll). Guess I vote LA Noire

 

Also Saint's Row isn't Rockstar

Rockstar made Saints Row? Hate to say it, but that's incorrect.

 

Anyway, my favorite game by Rockstar is Red Dead Redemption. It took a different direction from the other gta games. Instead of the same old city landscape. It took place in the wild west which was a cool setting. It was different and I liked it. Also, I loved the lasso.
