If Trixie was the student of

We all know Trixie.

We also all know how Twilight became princess.

Now, I know this may never happen, but, what if, Trixie became Twilights student?

How would you react?

What would you do?

I find it very unlikely for that to happen.  Trixie is more of an illusion specialist who weaves tales and tricks people into believing things for entertainment purposes; most of her magic probably isn't useful for practical purposes overall.

If anything, I'd like to think that Luna was to take her up as her own apprentice.  It seems much more entertaining than having Twilight of all ponies to take Trixie under her wing.

That is not what Trixie would do. At all. Granted, she learns the error of her ways, but judging by her general personality Trixie will never surrender herself to Twilight. Most likely she'll become Twilight's rival.

If this happens in the show, I would be very surprised. Then I'll conclude that she is an impostor.

I would be happy, because Trixie deserves more love. Trixie does actually have magic as her talent, she's just skilled more in illusions. If Trixie were given the same resources and even half the drive Twilight had, she would make a great mage.

Before the end of the series, I predict that Trixie's eyes will go all white a la Twilight Sparkle while she casts a spell to save somepony, and she'll be both "redeemed" and shown to be able to perform real, meaningful magic.

(It'll only happen after somepony or ponies declare her to be a true, true friend, natch.)

After seeing Trixie learn the error of her ways, she would not go back to Twilight to be her student because it would just spark their old rivalry once again. She is more of an entertainer who is able to show off in any way possible, instead of learning from Twilight.

The only unicorn who seems close to becoming Twilights student is Pumpkin Cake.

Still, I could see Trixie, coming back and maybe learning a few spells from Twilight. To help with her show. But not to become a full time student. Besides Trixie seems to old.

Now hold up now, sugar cube, who says Trixie couldn't conceivably get on good terms with Twilight in the future? The same guy who said Vegeta would always be a villainous conqueror, or Prince Zuko would always be the Team Rocket stand-in of his series?

You know, I wouldn't mind this. Her being a student of Twilight OR Celestia is fine with me.

It would be beyond amazing to see some episodes focused on her as she learns life lessons. Because, well, face it. She needs it.

That said, I don't think learning high-level magic will fix whatever problems she has. She's an entertainer, and I think her arc would consist of her learning to be proud of that fact and her own unique magic instead of trying to one-up other unicorns.

True.

I hate to say it, but using that skill solely for entertaining doesn't make for a good episode or anything like that.

Don't get me wrong, seeing her go from a fraud to a real-deal showmare would be amazing, but it doesn't really seem likely that there will be any canon content showing that.

Well, if they really needed to beef up that story, they could make it part of a larger narrative (a two-parter, maybe), and have Trixie's arc be concluded by having her help the Mane Six defeat a villain with her stage magic or illusions, which has her realize that she can be awesome in her own right or something.

I've had a lot of time to think about this.

I approve of this idea. So much.

It's the most unlikely goddamn thing and has about a 1% chance of happening, but... Mane 7. Oh goodness. My obssession with the show would skyrocket if that happened.

Bonus points if the villain in question is Chrysalis, so that the confrontation would be a single voice actress as both the hero and the villain. It will be glorious.

I freaking love Kathleen Barr. So much. Her voice is just so sexy awesome that I don't even know how to describe it.

That WOULD be interesting though. Chrysalis needs a comeback anyway; it would be great seeing her character fleshed out even more. She already has both a great voice and a bitchin' design, so why not?

I honestly don't think this could happen. Even if Trixie and Twilight made up, Trixie is still too prideful to learn from someone she considered to be better than.
